Literally no one cares about premade 3s, anymore. For the average player, the premade 3s experience is just solo shuffle, but with 1 round, after which you’re back in the que, win or lose.
The ladder’s full of boosting fiends and smurfing multi r1’s at 1,9k mmr, and the last time there was any element of actual ‘team’ in 3s was in Legion/WoD. It’s evident that the MAJORITY, vast MAJORITY of the PvP community prefer the shuffle format over 3s, so why not reward that?
Past 2,4k in shuffles there’s literally 0 reward or reason to play. All the r1 spots are wintraded, rmt sold and griefed away at the first day of the season already, so that the elitist circlej*rk can ensure they themselves and their boosty boy pals can get the same titles to not feel excluded.
Add a glad mount or a glad mount recolor, and watch the shuffle que times be split by half. Considering out of the majority of people, not a lot of people pushed Legend even if its ‘mega easy to get’, it would only boost the pvp activity of the game by a mile.
According to drustvar, there’s 140 recorded 3v3 games vs 900 shuffle lobbies played.
Because “killing” 3v3 is already good enough of a reason? We are seeing a game which becomes more toxic, people not caring and just queing up instead of finding people to play with. If people prefer shuffle over 3v3 I couldn’t care less but the issue right now is that shuffle is really inflated and people reach ratings that are “above their paygrade”. It was ridiculous how easy shuffle was to push for 2.4k… If they deflate shuffle or change the rewards to be closer to 0.5% (for gladiator) of the ladder I don’t see why it would be an issue though. I still believe it is more fun / meaningful to find a team to play with and climb together. I don’t think you will ever see that in solo shuffle.
As someone who got a few myself, recorded and everything, that’s definitely false and massive copium from someone unable to do it.
While I am quite certain that some spots were wintraded the vast majority was not. This boosting/wintrade excuse has to stop at some point, and people just need to q it up and improve at the game.
while i hate soloshuffle, and i hope i never have to step foot into it again, i agree there should be a glad shuffle title and maybe even tabard or mount and so on, its dfeinetely a better game mode than 3s in my experience
the guy that made this topic is 100% spot on, you sit lfg,. u finally find a party maybe even suboptimal, you q into your counter or blizzcon players on alts, or boosters, you probably lose even before you start getting any better, you argue with your temmates, you disband, and you go back to lfg until you decide to do something else for 2-3 weeks, and then you try again with the same results. arena has always failed for me in this game, has brought more problems than solutions, and i wish it was removed entirely and we could focus on something else like bgs, rated bgs, and duels, but since it ain’t gonna happen, we might aswell get a beter soloq experience…
I’m assuming you mean shuffle and not 3s? Also even if you mean shuffles its still a very poor argument. A rank 1 title is not a reward that the VAST MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION is going to look at and think that they’ve even a chance to obtain it.
The AVERAGE PvP’er who queued shuffle last season, even with the inflation etc, did not get over 2,100. The slightly above average player got 2,400+, but NO WHERE NEAR 3,6k range.
I was 2,8k as warrior whenever I started to feel like I’m either maxing out my present skill level, or just not having as much fun considering there’s literally nothing to push/play for. No reward, no nothing. Just endless 50/50 lobbies until you hit a range where the skill level of players is peaking to AWC levels, and you’ve no game knowledge to keep up.
The rank 1 player’s PoV of what is ‘easy to get’ and what is not is so beyond skewed it is ridiculous. If only 0,2% of people obtained the gladiator mount of last season, how the heck is it ‘easy to get’ lmao.
Why is it bad that people can push 2,400 easier, and obtain tabards/enchants etc through STILL PLAYING THE GAME AND LEARNING.
The second those rewards became absurdly difficult to obtain, you saw like half of the population quit shuffle that was playing season 1. Nobody cares about playing in a gamemode where the rewards are dished out ONLY for the people who’ve been tryharding it for the past 14 years in on end.
I’ll also add this; Rewards being easier and more feasible to obtain would spike and increase the population of seasonal activity by a MILE. The fact is at present, queues are monstrously popular at 1,4-1,9k range, after which it drops dead like a sack of potatoes. Every game is a 1,6k cr healer, and every lobby is a 3-3 or so on so forth for DPS players.
And why is that? Because healers get their elite sets, enchants etc, and say “aight peace out, cya next season”.
There is literally nothing to play for after 2,1-2,4. Nada.
^ Furthermore, high end prestige rewards are a very outdated concept that belongs to an era of MMORPGs that died a looooooooong long time ago. A vast majority of the playerbase that actually cares about exclusive top 0,1% rewards etc has long since quit the game, leaving the new people just bitter at the fact that everything that’s cool is perma-locked behind a seasonal time-limited reward, where you have to compete with people who have sometimes almost two decades worth of knowledge to you.
Its toxic, and I’d say a primary reason as to why WoW is losing current subs + not gaining any new ones I reckon.
I do, since this is what you are talking about in your thread.
Well. Either you care about competitive rewards, or you do not. If you do care, then you should always thrive to ecome better to maybe one day reach the highest one because that is the nature of comptetition. And if you do not care, then the rewards don’t matter.
Your “present” skill level is supposed to go up if you keep playing while paying attention to what made you lose (or not win) and was under your control, and making sure it happens less and less. And so you shouldn’t remain at the same ranking forever if you do try to get better. Of course maybe you won’t instantly get to r1 or such, but that is normal and there is no reason why you shouldn’t put in the time and effort other have put in to reach their level and taste their rewards. Otherwise what’s the point ?
The Legend title is exactly the same reward as the Gladiator title, but it is relative to the shuffle bracket.
Then maybe it wasn’t (and that’s good imo). That doesn’t mean everyone should get it for free. It’s because rewards aren’t handed out for free that they have “prestige” or however you want to call it. Why do you think many experienced players are kind of laughing at one time SLS2 Gladiators ? Many of them think themselves consistent Gladiators when they got it barely on 2400 when maximum rating was 3800, which is 1400 higher. As a comparision with DF S1, maximum rating was somewhere between 3100 and 3200, a 1400 difference brings you down all the way to 1800 ! How uninteresting would it be if Gladiator was 1800+ ? Literally nothing to do for it ! It wouldn’t even be special. And so, SLS2 Gladiator mount lost all its value because it was such an easy reward to get that it now means very little. What I try to convey here isn’t an argument about SLS2 Gladiators (please) or last season rating or w.e. I’m trying to make you see by example why asking to make “prestigious” rewards much easier to reach just because you think that’s the only way you reach them, instead of actually rising above those who can’t get them, devalues the rewards to the point that they won’t be worth getting really. It will become just… something everyone else has. Sure, in reality not everyone will have it, but if most of the people you see around have it (overflow of a title/mount) then what does it really mean? Nothing.
Yeah why not?, df glad mounts are pve recolored anyways.
With solo queue existing i don’t see much of a reason why people would queue any 3v3 when they can just do a few renown quests or go into the raid for a mount of the same caliber.
you could make it 0.5% of specs or whatever in solo queue, just kill off 3v3, it would be more of a mercy killing.
Agree. Yolo shuffle needs some incentive to be played since Blizzard decided to kill all other forms of pvp for sake of shuffle, then brutally nerfed shuffle and now they are letting it die, so basically all pvp scene is dying like never before, because nobody is going back to normal 3s, for obvious reasons.
bro ure so wrong
first shuffle boosting is done via piloting = u still play vs people
second there is no wintrading for r1s u can get it if ure skilled enough
third there is just one obnoxious thing is that the “r1 friendies” join discord in shuffle thats lame af but still pushing r1 is not impossible
i almost got last season’s r1, was missing 4 points but got 2 bad lobbies and dropped from 3.4 to 3.2 in the last hours lol
lesson to be learn not to push in the last day i guess
here is one argument : get good, you legit cannot get more than 2.1 in 3s and you want a mount which is obtainable by getting 50 wins at 2.4 ? Nope, stop crying for the easy way out
Started to play resto shaman couple weeks ago had some irl things keeping me busy so couldnt really invest a lot of concentration and time into learning all the aspects of healing ( I don’t use add-ons anyways so it wasn’t the case or that might be actually) so I just played soloq here and there and after like 900+ rounds I have my peak at 1460 in shuffle, whereas I qued with my friend who STARTED PLAYING WOW LIKE A WEEK AGO and we got easy 1500 in about 20 - 25 games in 2s arena.
Pretty sure if it was 3s could be that easy to reach 1600 meanwhile I am stuck in shuffle at 1400. So I can’t really see how shuffle is easier. Besides trust me if shuffle is dead you can put some flowers to PvP grave very soon. RSS is the most popular thing in PvP, just solve problem with qs and pvp will burst like a volcano with its population.
Whole Arena system needs a rework, outdated, shame 3s is dead I myself have not done any shuffles really (mostly due to que times).
Adding gladiator mount to SS would be fine or a diffrent color mount, for those who enjoy shuffle they would get their shuffle R1 and mount as reward. But a total rework of the system and rewards would be good.
