I think Blizzard should add Heart of Iron and Scale of Fates to the Sidereal Essence Vendor as there are no tank and caster dps trinket options that can be purchased right now.
Melle dps get 2 options in runestone and dark matter , all healers have an option in thorim trinket or algalon trinket for paladins.
The only ones that are still dependent on RNG are tanks and casters.
As a tank player who has been doing Ulduar from week 1 and got Heart of Iron on my main after 12 weeks and on my alt after 16 weeks, I really do not want to be forced to farm it on my other tanks again.

That opens can of worms for community to demand all 232 and even 252 loot from Ulduar 25 for sidereal essence, making semi BiS items almost as common as common shirts. Remember, this currency is there only because Blizz wanted 239 items to be preserved in loot tables since 10 ppl Ulduar now drops 232 gear. However 252 gear is almost BiS and shouldn’t be purchasable at least for now untill phase 4 comes.
What’s effort got to do with it? I ran Ulduar every reset and never seen it drop. It’s luck, not effort.
There are now 5 good trinkets for casters, Reign from anub 25hc that will never drop. Flare from Vezax 25hc that never drops. Scale from Thorim 10n (used to be 25n) that never drops. Eye of the Broodmother on Eck the fish boss that every group skips in Gundrak and you have to beg and threaten for them to turn around, and often they don’t anyway. And illustration from Sarth2d, that nobody runs anymore.
I finally got lucky and got the eye from Eck after begging 5 groups to go there and losing one to a disc priest that has very little use for it. So at least I don’t run ToGC with naxx 10 spider trinket despite never missing a reset all P2.
Anyway, as the saying goes, the well fed can not understand the hungry, and I doubt Blizzard will change anything. But the fact you can reasonably grind out every slot to ilevel 232-245 except trinket where it is extremely difficult to even get 225 is pretty damn annoying.
This is exactly the issue. The trinkets just do not want to drop and the alternatives are really hard to farm cause all the people want skip runs cause gotta go fast. It is getting really annoying running the same raid every week that you have already cleared for over 5 months now and seeing the same piece of plate boots or mail gloves or leather chest drop every single time instead of the trinket you want

People are just demanding more and more, without thinking of game progression balance. If you can get 2nd BiS or even #1 BiS of phase 3 in heroic beta, why attend to raids at all? What next? LFR? BiS loot on Black Market? No, no and no. Selling 252 ilvl items for sidereal is bad idea, but excluding 232 loot from HM Ulduar 4 items loot replacing with 252 only in phase 3 is far superior.
My original post suggested adding 2 trinkets one for tanks and one for casters that are 232 ilvl not 252. This change would allow both casters and tanks who have been unlucky with drops to stop wearing ilvl 200 loot. It was not mentioned anywhere adding 252 loot although I fully expect blizzard to add 252 loot to dungeons when ICC patch goes live.
Raid teams are already not clearing Ulduar fully. They are going for Yogg and Algalon for the Vanalyr shards and most of the remaining bosses are skipped. Last week my guild refused to do Thorim.
So some hard to obtain loot should indeed be purchaseable with sidereals. The only way to incentivize people to do full Ulduar would be to add sidereal essences to Ulduar bosses (and not just one per hard mode boss) and add loot to be purchaseable by sidereal essences, or increase drop rates for Ulduar25man loot.
I have seen flare and scale drop many times in my GDKP runs but unfortunately never being able to get them as there is always an oiler that buys flare for 150-200k and scale 50-100k.
I agree that it’s unfair that for example feral Druids can get both BiS trinkets ( Mjolnir/ dark matter) in like 4 days of farming HC ++ and casters still have to do Ulduar to get their trinkets.
