Anyone that uses an addon that whispers people mid combat to say something obvious is part of the problem.

Announcement addons are pure narcissism. Announcing that Mage X interrupted mob Ys lame butt shadow bolt every 10 secs or that the healer did his job and casted a damage shield on a player makes absolutely no difference to the game. And no one actually cares.

It’s not pointless information. In groups where kicks aren’t announced, there’s a far, far higher rate of overlapping interrupts.
Nah. One too many times where people just keep running instead of standing still to dps on stuff like the trash to stitchflesh or on stitchflesh(when hook fails) when they get fixated. That’s why I started using it in the first place because I’m not going to stand there and type out “WELL, MR MAGE, I AM GOING TO THROW YOU A BOP NOW, STAND STILL INSTEAD OF RUNNING”.
If “kicks” are actually needed you’re playing in a dedicated group that’s on comms anyways. And if you’re playing with PUGs then announcing your interrupt is not going to do a damn thing about overlapping… so ya, utterly pointless information.

Try healing a 15 in a pug right now and say you don’t need interrupts. Like, I’m legit oom 24/7 in the groups I’ve been in and doing like 8-9k hps. If people wouldn’t interrupt at all, it would be impossible.
Anybody who pugs should have a weakaura to track them.

Hes not saying don’t kick, hes saying the chat is distracting and pointless. Doubly so for whispers, I’ve lost track of the amount of time I’ve seen a pop up window flash then its just some mullet whispering “iron barked you” taking my attention off the combat.
