Addon Details not working

So I just got the addon Details for the classic version and it is not working when I log in, can someone help please?

No I haven’t set it up, when I log in there is no addon.

If it’s not in the addons option in the menu then it’s probably installed in the wrong place or out of date.

What is the filepath to the addon? it should be

"\World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns\Details"

That’s where the LUA files for the addon should be.

I extracted it in the Addons file in Interface, all other addons are there aswell and they work just fine.

Did you extract the files to the addons folder or the details folder into the addons folder.

All that should be in the addons folder is other folders.

What Dottie is asking is: is there a Details folder in your addons folder with the files or did you extract the files from the Details folder to the Addons folder?

I opened with WinRAR and I extracted the folders in the Addons folder (no I didn’t open every folder to extract the files)

I always extract then look in the folders to see they don’t have an extra folder for the addon inside.

Does the addons button on the character screen have load out of date addons ticked? If so is it in there? No Addons button means it’s not installed correctly. It may even need it spelt AddOns with the capital o.

As long as the four folders Details, Details_DataStorage, Details_Streamer and Details_TinyThreat are all in the AddOns folder and not in an extra Details folder, it should be ok, you may have downloaded the wrong version if it’s more than 4 folders. The retail version has 7 folders.

Also double check the folder you installed into again and it’s the one I give above.

If all this stuff is things you have already done you need to contact the addon maker.

I have just installed it myself and it works so I don’t think it’s the addon, try removing any “details” files from saved variables too, it may be in multiple places.
