Blizz better Open up for people to buy unlimited 70 Boosts for tbc and 80 for Wotlk when it comes so people who actually works for a living can join the endgame and not spend months on leveling up
Half or more of classes can solo farm some instances in WoTLK. Not to mention other options.
so the immune to slow is fine, but, in a 5man, if the mobs hit the tank, the immune to slow after 30s should reset.
I have made so much easy gold from boosting, it basically funded my entire TBC journey. Not mad at all about this. I hope this will mean people actually form groups for leveling dungeons, that would be comfy for a bit of chill alt leveling.
Would be amazing if they focused on fixing the PvP server imbalance issue. Though I doubt it since its a player made issue and they barely fix their own faults. :<
To be fair. It’s not “normal” to kite anything for longer than 30sec and diminishing returns are reasonable to have on cc.
Who are you to define what ‘normal’ is?
I lived for those moments, where we could survive a full party wipe in an instance by kiting the last few mobs after tank died.
This is how it should work imho.
I can’t comment on the 60 second stun mechanics, since I’ve never faced it.
I don’t want to argue with you here. I understand your position and just wanted to point out that I think it’s reasonable that we can’t endlessly cc anything.
But you do understand that what you describe, by definition is not normal. The world normal means “ordinary or usual; the same as would be expected” and what you describe is something out of the ordinary and rare.
But I hear you and I understand what you are saying. Sometimes you have these epic moments when you kite mobs for a long time and saves the day and that feels awesome. And now that is taken away. That sucks I agree. But I think it’s a necessary evil in this case and as I said, I think it’s totally reasonable for cc to break eventually. It’s really OP and game breaking when cc don’t break.
It’s unreal how some people keep sayin GDKP is not a problem.
It’s notorious to anyone actually playin in GDKPs that there are dozens of professional organizations out there making hundred thousands of gold per week with the management cuts and reselling that gold to players willing to buy items in said GDKPs.
The sneaky part is that most of the time there isn’t even any trade involved. Just paypal the organizer and he will “credit” you an amount of gold you can bid with for items and that gold will never get traded.
What blizzard should address is why one person would be willing to buy enourmous amounts of gold. The number 1 reason is obviously to buy items, not for consumables, nor for anything else. Killing the demand kills RMT and the demand is ONLY carried out through GDKP.
Somebody above said GDKP is a way to launder gold. That’s plain wrong, GDKPs exist to create the gold market, where the real money is earned. Without GDKPs the market would shrink to Bob needing 5k for his mount, not 200k for Thoridal.
A company like blizzard failing to realize this is just sad.
Mobs don’t live that long in a 5 man.
Boosting and services orgs are a well know thing and problem. Blizzard even banned organized boosting/gold services but if a guild does it in their own realm it’s fine…
it’s a matter of how far you want to police players. Firemaw got locked and bots banned = unsustainable due to many reasons. SoM got RMT and bots banned = quite a bunch of main tanks and alike suddenly vanished because they were shady to get R14.
They do take actions, although not at everything. If they say GDKP is banned then it won’t vanish as well. It will move to the web and discords and will be pure $ and something that Blizzard is pretty much unable to track.
Well that would be me and in essence it is money laundering, much of what you described is also money laundering. What are we laundering? Bot gold, botting is like the maffia making a lot dollars that cannot be spend in “legal” or otherwise low-profile projects or it would attract the feds, (blizzard). Hence, we invent something called GDKP and voila that 200k for thoridal is now legal gold in circulation.
Paypalling people without the actual gold trading and basing it off “crediting” people is actually just a way to circumvent this attention attracting from blizz. Its pretty much the same thing.
I think we agree on a lot of the same areas, but most of GDKP is actual money laundering. Just like NFTs and duct-tape banana-on-the-wall art that goes for 200k.
Good job at shooting a nuke at a mosquito.
Should boosting be fixed? yes probably. (but I don’t care really, if ppl want to do it it’s their choice)
Should you take away all the fun of mages aoe kiting stuff no!
The aoe power of the mage was one of the reasons I made my mage back in old vanilla.
Please rethink this fix, there should be a more suitable solution to not harm the aoe kiting mages can do.
#nochanges
What they need:
- hire 1/2 GMs to actually do in game stuff like they used to have plenty of. For the whole of classic 1 or 2 would be enough;
- make him join on the official discords of megaservers;
- spot GDKPs professional organizations (it’s pretty clear who they are);
- join those GDKP discords;
- take notes of all the characters they are inviting with;
- fake a RMT, screenshot it, perma ban em.
In 2 weeks they are completely wiped out.
Is it too far? Probably, but that’s the only way to kill the largest portion of the gold trading, can’t do it with algos, you need actual GMs.
That’s not really realistic. The more Blizzard pushes the more underground it will go, especially when already you have ads showing up on facebook, google and alike of sites offering various “activities” in any WoW versions.
Well you can make it a bit slowed in small pulls and still get them gear. I helped guildue of mine to gear up in SM armory and cathedral.
Now you should nerf the XP from Slave Pens as its still doable on at least locks and paladins. Zangarmarsh general is full of wts boost spam despite its seemingly against the TOS based on this post. Please fix it.
They are pushing people towards private servers again, we want the game as it was back then
As of now there were two vanilla fresh “as it was” and they failed due to no players. TBC pservers died out with Classic TBC while WoTLK ones likely will die out during WoTLK Classic.
Very few cares about this change. If it was something aggravating then yes, they could push people to play on pservers. For example NFTs, selling gear and whatnot
They better not. I’m heading there about the same time as wotlk launch.
paladins are still doing it btw
