[ADRP] What do you think is wrong Blood Elf RP

Hey Brigante. I think there’s a wayward flying raid-marker over yonder. I think the red death should hunt it down rather than attempting banter on the forums.

What say you, old chap? Up for one last /roll?

Remember that whole thing about not rising? Yeah, That. Cute try though.

Just like your character when you emote fight.

Forums without PCU would be a sorry, sorry place.

Red Death? Pfff- show me your Galactic Starfighter achievemen- WHAT THE HELL IS IT WITH ME AND SWTOR TODAY?!?

I don’t think so, it’d be the same but more passive aggressive

Like when? Come on, you spoke the words Cowgirl, gimme the answer. Like -When-?

So much for not rising, huh?

OK, that we legit funny.

I started browsing the AD forums today and I’m genuinely shocked by how many threads have been turned to trash by Brigante fighting everyone. I mean, while it’s mildly amusing, it’s a shame that a serious and constructive thread is being derailed.

It’s nothing new. Nor are Brigante/The PCU the first to bring the forums into such a state of disarray with their inability to post without resorting to poor man’s memes and/or :poop:posting.

It’s always been like this for as long as the AD forums have existed with one person/group of people or another.

The thread stopped being serious and constructive when every bitter player who’s been shat on in the past by other BElf players and guilds started listing non-issues as “legitimate problems with BElf RP”, including other players who just tap dance their way in to promote their own RP cliques by shatting on another community.

And let’s not get into all the double standards about certain styles of RP…

Yeahhh I get that. Everyone has their own experiences and while it’s totally fine to share them, it doesn’t exactly represent the community as a whole. I think there are great people, great guilds, campaigns, and I think if you search hard enough you can find somewhere you belong. Depends on your standards and what you want from your RP - for me, I was looking for something very specific which I couldn’t get, and that’s entirely my fault for not being open to new experiences.

But it’s unfair to paint the whole community like that. I do think a lot of players and guilds can be judgey and do have high RP standards, and yes there is a lot of bubble RP. Plenty of people would agree with me on that. But it’s not everyone, hell, most people just don’t have the confidence to reach out to players, or approach characters IC, or create RP with others, and end up making it everyone else’s fault. I did the same for a while, I’ve been there. But unless you go out there and make it happen it won’t just come to you on a silver platter.

You don’t need a guild to get RP.
Just RP with every guild without having to join them.
Good guilds will RP with you regardless of your guild tag.
Otherwise it’s just bubble RP like “Who is this person? Not in our guild so who cares!”.
I wish they would introduce a “Hide guild tag” function. It would make RP more organic (maybe, hopefully).

How would the recruiters aimlessly shuffle between people without a guild going “I see uv got no tabard/surcoat ser, fancy joining my military outfit that does nothing at all and is in no way unique from the other ten million military outfits.”

You can’t rob them of their only purpose in life!

That’s on Alliance side only, the “why no surcoat” thing. At least I hope so.

The horde people just call it tabard, but yes. It happens on the horde side just as much.

Marr sends his regards.

Not gonna lie, I hate that way of recruiting and I see it all the time. What makes a guild unique should be its selling point enough that people approach and apply and want to be part of it. You shouldn’t have to stand around in Cathedral Square grabbing people. While I encourage random RP, recruiting like that gives you no real idea of what a player or character is like and it causes so many problems down the line. The whole standard of RP goes down and you end up with some regrets because you didn’t get to know the character and just straight up invited them.
