Though I’m assuming you are in your twenties now and know better. Just as anything like you say you happened isn’t something that anyone can say is still happening, because, that would be a lie, I’m pretty sure of that.

Cockiness. On Horde I expect and welcome people to be cocky towards each other because the Horde are all about that kind of stuff but even they show more restraint than 90% of the Alliance. A lot of Alliance RPers, seem to give their characters no traits than being cocky and brash. Whether good or bad, the moment something they find questionable happens, they’ll stride towards you and begin reprimanding you or threaten to start a fight.
Which brings me to my next point, the need to win, or the need for good to always triumph over ‘evil’. There is no nuance in Alliance RP, if you do something which someone doesn’t like in character, they will not stop pursuing you until they have claimed a total victory against you. This is also what deters a lot of the better criminal, guard and evil RP nowadays. If you are evil on Alliance, be assured that someone WILL hunt you down and defeat you.
That’s what ultimately made me leave Alliance. RP doesn’t go outside ‘go fight X threat and go home and do some inn rp’ because the moment you do something that’s even vaguely questionable in character instead of generating interesting rp, people have to crush the bad guy quickly and go back to waiting for their commission of their character with a cocky smirk on their face to be done.
