[ADRP] What is wrong with Stormwind RP?

/y GUNSHOT
This kind of things. When people yell. And you have no idea where it comes from.
Or simply people attacking you. In the middle of the city. Without consequences.

/y Uzi fire as local Troll gang youths do a drive by on enemy turf.

I am genuinely curious what triggers this for people, because in all my years I have never been attacked in Stormwind. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but I have to wonder if there’s something in particular that causes it.

A good question. But I’ve seen someone trying to raise their hammer to smite someone in the middle of Stormwind, if I recall. Because they said something they didn’t like.

I can confirm we are attacked frequently in Stormwind by those who don’t like us.
And that includes ‘holy’ priests of Cathedral.

I honestly think if you’re playing a character who provokes others ((as you know…)) it’s more likely to get attacked. And seeing the wide variety of characters in Stormwind it’s definitely possible for that to happen. You either have people playing characters who are insufferable and basically ask to get attacked, or people who just… like confrontation?

Maybe those priests are on to something

Stormwind is really the first place that people think of as a major city on Alliance side, so you’re gonna see a lot of players there, and chances are you’re gonna see a lot of new players amongst them, or players that have never joined a guild for RP.

IMO there’s nothing wrong with Stormwind RP for the most part. You can still have meaningful RP there, and you can still meet other RPers who’s characters you find enjoyable, but you also just have to adjust your expectations somewhat. There’s a pretty good chance that you might encounter people who don’t take the game quite as seriously, or haven’t been roleplaying for all that long, and if you personally feel like that’s not something you want to deal with, it’s probably best just to find another hub.

Indeed they are. And people are very biased and paranoid in general. Yesterday I was just sitting with other girl, fully dressed, and talked with whispers while bothering noone. And guess what? About half of people passing by kept insulting us for no reason, as if two girls can’t just sit and talk. Even when I mentioned it to them they won’t believe, they were 100% sure we were erping. They think two girls can do only one thing together. And these people call us perverts, amazing.

I’ll just ask why did you stick to a private chat channel while in a roleplaying hub. Something’s not quite right…

Not entirely sure your transmog could be considered “fully dressed” tbh.

We were discussing some guild matters which are not to be public. We were IC so we had to move closer to roleplay whispering properly, but it seems these people can think of just one thing when they see two girls nearby…

Well, it’s summer and it’s hot, should we torture ourselves just to please some puritans? I think not.

So you have to keep Guild talks secret or you get attacked?
My my, seems like this city is terribly dangerous, maybe we should get law enforcement to crack down.

Oh my, there we go. Now this will turn into a Lilynore thread.

I bet you’d like to ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Well, guilds can have secrets sometimes. Can you imagine that? Some things to hide from rival guilds, for example, which may already have their eyes and ears all over Stormwind.
