It is funny and whats even more funny is you bought early access in hopes to avoid things like that and yet it still happens…

You can tell the age of people by whether they think is funny or not

if you say so, i may have bought it for entirely different reasons, but sure…whatever you say…

Use the interact key.

Every Quest Giver NPC should have physical interaction, so if you move your mount in any way into them, they kick you with their foot (or similar), knock you off your mount and stun you for 5s.

That would make people stop doing that stupid “joke” very quickly.

Doesn’t help with the story or immersion (as most of the times you can’t even see the other NPC’s around the questgiver).

Have said it a few times (to not stand on the NPC) today and a few did oblige (thank you for that).

Wanted to create a thread, to make others a bit more mindful for the Monday release… but figured: you probably get teenage brains commenting how it is funny or that its EA and we deserve it or something. So didn’t in the end.

No I did not buy this version for the early access… I agree that it is a rather crummy practice. Direct the annoyance to the company, not the people. As most would have gotten the super duper version with or without early access.

It’s a player from the pvp community.

I was fishing a school earlier… A random person came and stood on it with the biggest mount and laughed at me. 10/10 Expansion

Just bind the interact key and target ally. I mean I had to do that anyway much earlier, but now’s a good chance.

OP didn’t mention anything about story immersion. I just gave them a solution to get round the annoying player.

There are many annoying things in this game, but this particular behaviour from a minority of players is way up there!

I don’t solely blame the trolls though, given it’s an old frustration and Blizzard continue to do nothing about it. User-imposed workarounds are not an acceptable solution to developer laziness.

Players are ‘transparant’, so what is the problem?

just approach the quest giver it turns yellow could be a 100 big mounts wont make any difference you can see and accept the quest.

They do it solely to annoy and to provoke a reaction. I just don’t give them the satisfaction of shouting “move FFS!”.
I use the interact key, or zoom all the way in. There is no collision-boxes so you can easily zoom through players if they crowd the NPC you’re trying to interact with.

Just like Khadgar in wod

The way it works is quite useless. Blizzard should have copied gw2. The interact key is way better there
