You know the “interact” key was introduced to get around such issues.
You ought to make it a habit of using it instead of it being situational, makes playing the game a LOT easier… especially for Fishing, cast with 1 key, and hit interact when it bobs.
Blizz really need to just implement a dismount zone around all questgivers.
They’ve done it to holiday event NPCs, when people have complained in the past, so it’s an easy enough addition.
Some people are just lazy and have no respect for other players experiences.
It’s the same issue with hunters who have ginormous pets
Yea for sure. They should also take away your mount and throw it across the field so you have to go get it. And when you do, then they will run up to you and mug you of your gold. And just when you thought it was over SIKE, they run back and steal your shoes as well.
Easy solution to this if Devs ever get to see it is to phase everyone else out around said quest giver to it’s just you and the quest giver NPC. Would remove this problem entirely. Walk away from said NPC and you see the rest of the other players again.
I mean, the servers do have phasing so that or just force remove mounts whenever you get into range of said NPC. Either would work really. The game does have the necessary tools to do either really.
I will explain the difference between WoW’s and GW2’s interact key:
WoW is based on camera angle and range from the NPC
gw2 is based on circular range around the NPC and that is being improved by a visual button. So you just get near the NPC and you have two choices - to press a key bind or press with the mouse the button on the screen. GW2’s system is leagues better and it is like this since 2012
Its also telling how many times WoW copies GW2’s homework.
I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m glad when games copy the good bits of others. No need to re-invent the wheel when one rolls really well.
I think you may have misused the word snowflake as that means someone who is [a very sensitive person. Someone who is easily hurt or offended by the statements or actions of others].
So in this story, with you making the post, it’d be you who is the snowflake
As for why, it is either intentionally to grief or unintentionally but being inconsiderate.
