AH scams and buy orders

right now it’s 4 a.m. and scalebelly mackerel isn’t a high turnover item anyway
I already gave an example with serevite ore in that post which you didn’t read.

Then i’m not talking about these people, this isn’t what the discussion is about and the fact that you didn’t figure it out by now says a lot about how perceptive you are.
Also nobody said anything about banning anyone, are you even aware of the things you’re typing?

but they are achieving the same thing as the people you call scammers. They bring the price way too low causing people wich dump their good brainlessly at said price. Wich can be bought up by people selling it for a higher price.

These people are in fact worse than the people you call scammers because they undercut heavily but also they do it with more quantity so if it doesnt get bought enough more braindeads will dump things at an even cheaper price. The baiter atleast will try to buy up the lower priced stuff. braindead dumpers are fine with getting little while destroying the economy.

The baiter is trying to make money while the braindeads are actively destroying the economy. They are doing the same thing but with worse more permanent results.

They aren’t doing or achieving the same thing, again you’re wearing horse blinders and only judge this from your perspective. The scammer doesn’t affect the market price and just cause some players are undercutting and dropping the price of certain items it doesn’t mean they are “destroying the economy”.
Do you even understand what that means? do you think if items are expensive then economy is good and if items are cheap then economy is destroyed? if that is your belief then you know as much economy as a neanderthal

they should change the ah and create a new one and fix these .
and they should make farming harder not SHARE IT FOR EVERYONE WITH GROUPS

Yeah I figured that 50 replies later while s/he’s still saying the same thing. The irony being a complete lack of economic sense is also owned by the people who don’t check the vendor price before spam posting stuff cheaper. It’s just been severely exacerbated by linking server AH’s.

Short answer: Everything

Longer answer: Last bid sells, no sell order system, not everything you sell is EU wide.

edited. I forgot that you can play it with Snipe addons that make the behaviour mentioned by the op possible.

Things like this:

Seriously if one does not look at a price before listing their things, then it is on them.

addons like auctionator even warn for unnaturally cheap price listings in order to save you from making the mistake

That’s a problem I agree with.
The AH still is designed badly, because it’s dominated by players with addons. And addons should improve the UI, not give an advantage like that.
You can’t snipe “by hand” and the AH is very slow all day long because so many people now rely on addons that scan over and over.
People making gold in the auction house is a good thing and “punishing” people for stupidity is too, but we are at a point in the game were the auction house isn’t accessible without addons anymore

Accessible and optimal are not the same thing.
Is it not the same when doing an endgame instance and having DBM/Bigwigs, meters etc?
I recently made the switch to ElvUi and I find it is more comfortable to heal now. Are people who do not use ElvUi being “punished”?

For better or worse, WoW is a game that is co-dependent on addons, unlike FF14

Why are you feeling it’s better? Because the Blizzard UI is lacking massively and everything in WoW encounters is designed for rats on drugs which makes addons necessary.
In the beginning addons improved the WoW ui, now they improve the gameplay. And that’s a huge problem. If you have addons that trivialize mechanics Blizzard designers have to make mechanics that can’t be trivialized by those addons so their stupid RWF isn’t over on the first day.
Most other mmorpg don’t rely on addons because their pve/pvp is so designed without having those addons. You can play them successfully by looking on your screen.
Try that in WoW in a mythic environment and good luck!

edited: and btw the good interface and encounter design was a “big +” for WoW in it’s early stages. Everything happening could be seen on the screen, all information was available and you just had to press the right key.

Just to (extreme) examples of what I mean.

Too bad that Blizzard found that fans could do all the hard work about the UI themselves after the original release.

I sure would like a perfect Blizzard UI that accommodates all important QoL and gives a level playing field. But this is not something that the current corporate Blizzard will ever do.

They could, but they had to change some other designs. RWF, M+, PvP.
And I don’t think they will because the “raid or die” is strong at Blizzard HQ.

It is less of a question about if they can, but if they want to.

Their biggest concession to date is tier gear being obtainable from outside raids

This is the way. Double check if the preset price is roughly around the average so you don’t sell your hundred rousing orders for 100g instead of 240g. :smiling_face_with_tear:

ah, I did stumble across this add on. But I didn’t have Aucinator installed to try it out. I would be interested to see how it works.

But still, I read on places like WoWEconomy, sniping has become insanely harder since Region-wide AH.

But ultimately, at the end of the day, people just need to keep an eye on their listings.

That goes for everything, but it’s not really a solution, you could say that about every scam. A lot of people lost all their gold because they gave their password to someone emailing them from blizzzard. com and if they were paying attention, that wouldn’t have happened. Are you also against authenticators? because people should just keep an eye out and it’s their fault for being hacked.

It’s fascinating to me how many of you are insisting here that there should be a possibility to scam people if they aren’t paying attention. What is about the idea of making a scam impossible that bothers you people so much?

What you have just described exists, has existed for centuries, and is called, “market”, “exchange” and other names.

When the system matches a buy order to a sell order, this is called, “crossing”.

When the system cannot cross, or at regular times (in Germany), it goes into “auction”, eg “opening auction”, “closing auction”.

The rules for crossing are varied across exchanges and the world, and very complicated. One underlying rule is to satisfy as much volume as possible. Another rule may be first come. It depends.

And much much more.

And yes, it is automation applying very complex rules.

How about mno.

You seen what people ask for when you want player to control an economy.

100K for Sophics was not worth it unless you put it on a spark invested craffted weapon. or you had your end game BIS weapon drop (even then, spark crafted is better for embel and stat control).

I mean. I don’t think I really need to say more.

Did I say that, no. I gave a simple solution to an issue raised.

But as you chose to be rude allow me

Cry more, it’s a game get over it.
