AI art and AA

You do us far too much credit.

Also lol’ing at the (person) people spam flagging responses like it’s some big own.

Yeah, way to self report your own fragile self image you gotta get a few posts hidden to pat yourself on the back.

God, I hope my incredibly tame and lukewarm insults don’t spiral you into a deep and dark depression, king.

Oh hello, me!

(We’re apparently the same person!)

And we’ll all come together again in one big dysfunctional family the moment some streamer does something to disrupt the server. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Which reminds me, Taliesin’s meltdown over being called not a roleplayer or part of Argent Dawn’s community is some of the best drama this place has seen.

Are we? Damn, guess I didn’t know myself.

Guy larping with himself is very cringe.

I know right.
When the altpost ad hominem comes out its proof you’re on the winning side because they have nothing else to throw at you.

And I hope that you gain enough braincells to stop bootlicking AI generators and ‘owning’ artists like it’s some big win.

Nah, I think the time I got the guild ‘Twilight Hammer’ to be renamed by ticketing a GM was the best drama I’ve witnessed and instigated on this server - but that was over seven years ago at this point. Had like multiple 26 page (limit at the time) threads of people going aboslutely mental.

Modern AD drama is a shadow of its former self, honestly.

I was more thinking, that so long as GD, PvE and PvP forums exist, our drama will always be brief sparks in the fire.

I’ve taken a look at a few channels that follow Chris Chan because I do personally find him to be a fascinating case study on why not to let a vulnerable person or child onto the internet without supervision as well as just the sheer amount of trouble he got himself into over the years. The ones that focus explicitly on Chris I think are okay, but I’ve found some that branch out into other ‘lolcows’ and it literally just boils down to finding someone with some form of mental deficiency and trying to disrupt those people while they’re just harmlessly vibing on TikTok.

It’s really quite sickening.

Considering what Luddites actually stood up against, I’m honoured to be called that.
Thank you!

We talk plenty about ethics of ML image generator usage and the sociopolitical context but I feel we don’t talk enough how most generated images just kinda suck once you’re past the “wow it’s so technically impressive” stage

like ok bro it’s a fantasy lady with a vacant expression and rim lighting and you just pressed a button to make it, what am i supposed to experience here, where’s the hook

Finally, someone with enough gray matter to understand the reference.

Every one gets more cursed the closer you look at them.

“well alright at least it’s technically quite pretty”

“…oh is that a sixth finger”

“wait where is that leg growing from”

To go even further the majority of AI art I’ve seen all have the same texture, as in you can clearly see a distinct style in the “brushstrokes”.
