Alchemy/herbalism/mining I never get to use em?

Hi,
I’m not new to wow started from van, stopped after legion.

Classic anniversary and maybe even era…

Can someone tell me if they feel the same on this topic that I’m about to explain or am I wrong.

So profession like alchemy is useless and unrealistic. That’s how I feel. Reason being, say there is a recipe flask that tanks use to boost hp. I will never craft it. Because I will never find the herb.

And I think a year ago I checked that you need a special herb (was awhile I don’t recall the names) 1 of it that’s spawns once every 24 hours once per map zone to make that flask…

So can someone explain how is the AH filled with them?

Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate the profession but as a player I feel that I will never be able to find that herb nor do make such recipes.

I did find a rich thorium ore more than once but herbs. Impossible.

So say I as a player I look at the profession and see some goodies say health pots, trinkets, not end game things, but regular recipes, but they feel so out of reach tbh. Like it’s not worth of taking them because you will never be able to get the resources. BTW I looking at this from the perspective where you get them via herbalism/mining etc.

I end up buying my raiding consumes from AH. And just the question haunts me are there so many bots that like pick out all the resources? Are the re spawns so low? If they are how come I still manage to buy my consumes for raiding? Could it be that alchemy is so essential for raiding that a lot of people get it and you know there are no herbs around.

Because I do recall in Legion I did go herbing and I was able to make my consumes and get a lot of extra herbs and I al so saw a ton of players herbing but here idk am I missing something ? I just have a feeling that I will not be able to use some of the professions to their full potential alchemy mid-end is just rough ? Is it bots what am I missing ?

It’s not like a feeling “oh I will never get that item or, that item”. In fact if I put the effort I get em. Say you raid for weeks and you finally get an item, onyxias head for example. But you use it once, use the item for quiet a while and it has power. And the profession consumable feels like you use it every raid or maybe daily, but getting the pot takes as much time as actually getting that ony head like idk. unbalanced ? Can some one give some thoughts to this ? Personal raid/resources ? Would solve it ? Would killing bots solve it ? Maybe there is no issue here? What are your thoughts ?

Bots are the problem. Standing underground waiting for the lotuses to spawn.

This time around its really “world of botcraft” more than ever.

Alchemy/Herbalism is my “go to” combo whichever class I play, usually those are range DPS and Healers. But this time around decided to change things a bit due to layering, having one server, etc., so I went with Tailoring/Mining. Have to say it was one of the best decisions I made. Very steady gold outcome with few Tailoring items and dungeons with nodes like DME. Also, more often I see Rich Thorioum Vein then Black Lotus in the open world and prices for crystals are decently high.

They are rare but if you try to find a lotus you will find a lotus im mining currently and saw a few staying here and there for more then 10min before someone comes to pick them up i tried to defend them from ally while waiting a guildie to try come fast enough to get it  there are 7+ layers especially on the weekends so bots cant have them all

I recommend farming Maraudon for Ghost Mushroom and Bruiseweed and crafting them into Limited Invulnerability Potions.
Depending on your gear you can even kill some bosses for additional gold/hour.
In 2019 I made 80-100g/hour doing that.
