Ive always been horde. Never picked anything else, and not because of any racials or whatever, but because I wanted to play a Tauren.
I loved Taurens ever since they first appeared in WC3, because they were awesome. Cairne was a super chill dude who I always imagined would be great to have a few drinks with.
So, when WoW came around, there was no question for me to play anything but a Tauren.

I’m not, but I last subbed for retail some time in the middle of Mists, and that was only briefly. Realistically I quit during Dragon Soul.
My buddy irl wanted to play ally and it was better to join otherwise id roll a tauren shaman, or troll, maybe both.
Yeah no offense mate, but you couldn’t be further from the truth.
First and foremost: I have never played Retail WoW in my life. Not the original vanilla or any other expansion. I only ever played wow on pservers before classic. And also I am not an Orc, you could have seen that by looking at my profile picture. Not an UD either, idk how blind you are mate. Apes picked Alliance to have pallies to go for world first, not because horde is too easy. I guess you are fine playing alongside half and quarter humans, I’d rather kill them than only be able to /spit on them. I was simply sharing my experiences with alliance. I’m sure there are other types of alli players as well. But when you run through STV with your mates, kill 10-20 clueless alliance in 10 minutes while walking to a quest and they call their lvl 60 buddies to kill everyone in and around Grom’Gol for hours, it does make your faction look like a bunch of salty loosers.
All server are fu-d except Ashbringer/Zandalar/Mograine and some fresh low pop servers. But if u want really challenging pvp u must to enroll alliance.
You do realise that happens on both factions? The issue here is twofold: 1. Horde is the easymode in classic. 2. We see the worst faction balances in the history of WoW, my friend on Gehennas horde and alliance literary counted every people on the server for days, and managed to conclude a 33/66 faction balance. Shazzrath must be way worse actually. If you think it will be healthy for classic’s future you are delusional. I play both factions normally, and although always prefered alliance due to the underdog feeling, these days around my loyalty got stronger. And btw yeah, everybody calls their 60 friends, guess you only ever played one faction and got zero idea what you are talking about.
Gehennas is roughly 80-85% Horde, only really APES and Salad Bakers on alliance exist
Horde dominates all servers. Last data we had on this (before Blizzard destroyed the AddOn that did the heavy lifting) was that most realms are skewed towards Horde by 55-60% against Alliance 40-45%. Certain realms are even worse due to mass exodus with Free Character Transfers.
Why Blizzard allowed the underdog faction from a given server to transfer off is beyond me. It’s only making the problem worse, but I digress.
Here’s the last data we had:

Oh yes your friend counted players, that’s a great source! Gj buddy. I guess your experience is different, because every time I see someone complain about getting ganked in world or general, all the 60s just say “not my problem”. And I honestly don’t see why you would call your high lvl friends in the first place. I for one just rez and fight back, move to a different area or try to organize with other players on my level to try to take them down. That has led to some great pvp experiences of bigger battles. I have yet to see low lvl allies organize in this way after horde initializes pvp, again every time you kill more than a few in a row, a group of 60s show up.
But, according to the data we had while Census was possible to run, on most it’s more like 55/45, 60/40 worst case. Shazz, Flamelash and Lakeshire are indeed unlucky in this regard.
Don’t know what your server is like, but we do this sometimes on Bloodfang. I even used this to farm charms from burning exiles while a 60 was trying to hoard them for the elemental fire drops (one warrior runs interference with hamstring while the other kills a mob).
I chose Horde because Alliance are incredibly ugly.
That was it really. I can’t bear to play a stupid ugly looking race.
What are you on about you cow face, wanna fight? >.<

Dont worry when horde gets 20-30 minute que times for bg’s they will realise they need to balance the factions in the mean time alliance have easier time ranking. thanks horde

Blizzard messed up when they didn’t start faction locking honestly. I understand the argument for this is ‘bUt ThEn PeOpLe CaN’t PlAy WiTh ThEiR fRiEnDs’ but honestly I’d rather they atleast locked some of the realms from even creating characters, will be interesting to see how the realms cope when everything is on 1 layer and you truly feel the effects of severe faction imbalance.
i appreciate both animations and racials. As a rogue i find human female and undead male both have nice melee animations but human racials are utterly garbage so undead is the choice here. If humans have EMFH wotlk edition i would go human no doubt. Simple as that.
Thing is, you’re only going to get a faster queue for a faster loss.
Alliance are absolutely, totally and utterly terrible in BG’s, so much so that Blizzard had to change AV in their favour to help them, so Horde generally just stopped playing AV when that happened.
Good luck on your fast queues for 90% loss rate I guess.
