But the RaiderIO Website will AFAIK still show his BDK as his main no matter how high his pally´s score is as long as he has it marked as his main. Ingame it will show the pallys IO score as main… had this last season myself where the mage was “on vacation” and I mained ret, opening the pally’s io page linked to the mage, but ingame the pally was displayed as main.
That changed years ago. At the same time WoWprogress lost that ability as well.
RIO is basically “abusing” the M+ API Blizzard provides that allows account tracking with how the runs are being uploaded. PvP doesnt have it in the same form with its own rating.
That said, the first time the char is searched for, it does immediately add it, I just updated my own checkpvp with most of my primary alts (because unlike Kartoffeln I have nothing to hide) just by searching them once
Yes, because it compares the armory. However it wont do that until you search for the char unlike RIO which may as well do that if your untracked char has higher rating.
Let me just set the parameters for my totally non bias search… +11’s? No, still too many classes… +12’s? No, still split too evenly… Hmmm… Lets go for 15’s, this totally represents the entire m+ community and isn’t just the top cream of m+ degeneracy and i totally didn’t pick this mark cause it supports my side…

The post you made seems to be a huge meme about your ilvl as well as insulting others by assuming they dont or cannot interupt (thats why i mentioned sheild throw btw)

If you are looking at 15+ then you are not looking at the majority of the playerbase and these are some of the top end players in the game so of course they are favoring the most powerful classes to try to ensure success on their pushes and if you are doing this also then yes you have to play what’s considered to be the best class for the job and as of current Prot Paladin is leagues above the rest.
However if you are talking about 10-13 bracket I know people who are doing them without using the “meta” tanks.

I like how Kartoffeln pulled the entirety of GD at once with smartly placed AoE taunts, got the mob to enrage, and is able to valiantly hold fast ever since, almost two hundred posts after, just on their self-sustain abilities alone. They might be a good troll tank indeed.

Oh, they CAN interrupt. That’s not the problem. It’s that Protection Paladin can interrupt more. More! Do you understand the concept of MORE?
In m+ the only danger is one-shotting casters right now, which is why every tank is useless compared to Protection Paladin, because he does the MOST interrupting by far. On top of that, he has plenty other way to stop players from being one-shot. You can’t compete with Protection Paladin and therefore you are useless. I hope you understand now.
Sure a Prot Paladin can interrupt more but that does not mean all other tanks are useless (Unless you are pushing the pinnacle of m+ 15+ keys, Any tank below that should be fine tbh just requires the team to help out with more interrupts)
It;s this belief of "We cant do a 15 without a prot paladin which then filters down and people say “We cant do an 8 without a prot paladin” that causes these dumb issues and beliefs.
It really isn’t. Venge DH was able to lock down groups for 15 seconds in it’s own, and everybody saw it as a problem.
Now that Prot Paladin doesn’t pay for infinite interrupts (it should either do a lot less dmg or take more dmg than other tanks), it is a visible problem.
They are useless compared to Protection Paladins. They don’t bring anything to the table that Protection Paladin can’t do better. If one tank of every class applies to your m+ key with same ilvl and same rio, you would be stupid not to take the Protection Paladin, because he is the best for you and the rest of your group.
Everybody prefers Protection Paladins because they are the best. Nobody wants any of the other tanks if they have the choice, because they are not better at ANYTHING. Therefore every other tank is useless until Blizzard manages to give them specific strengths again that make them compete with Protection Paladins once more.
