after all the posts about people not getting their pre raid bis for minimal effort, i wonder how many of you actually play the game and not just buy yourself up from irl money. it’s supposed to be a “very rare” grind… i mean. how many zg runs did it take you to get the ZG mounts? was 2 weeks enough?
it’s a grindy proffession… if u can’t manage it, maybe the items are not for you.
Esactly, all this hysteria around a 359 weapon that is going to be replaced in like 2 months seeing how fast Cata content is going to be.
People need to develop self control instead of this degenerate obsession.
I’m not going after all the Archaeology rares, but this is, bluntly, blizzard’s fault. They have the levers of game design. Designing their game in a way that there is no/little emergent degenerate gameplay is their literal job as a developer.
If you create a system, any emergent behavior that results from it is your fault. This is blizzard’s fault. It’s also within their power to fix.
Hello my “/hug bunny” friend. I want to notice you that its a start of old new expansion. With a lot of information about raid content. But. Its not naxramas anymore. You’ll hit the wall with dps/hps in very first encounter in heroic(okay maybe second). A freaking lot of people understand it and trying to do anything to avoid stuck on it. But of course there will be you, happily chilling in normal.
P. S. Don’t be me. Avoid this TS.
thank god someone that did the work :). THANKS LITTLE HUNTER
It was like this even went Cata released in 2010.
This “outrage” is caused only by unhealthy obsession of some few to have an item that you could possibly replace on the first HC reset.
I could agree if this could ruin player economy (because in game design economy includes not only the in game currency but also power)
But this are items non fundamental that not having them does not disrupt gameplay in any way. So no this obsession is unhealthy and it is creating an aviability bias that is pushing people to farm this items in fear of having their progression ruined.
i believe most of us mortals, wont even swap this weapon in less than 2 months maybe we wont even swap it before 2nd cata phase goes on… im sad of ppl talking here with 0 knowledge of whats going on
Look at dungeon journal most first bosses drops weapons in T11 raid.
Plus are you not a bit to old for doing this kinda of personal attacks?
“Me smart. Me don’t read. Me write”. Omfg replace trolls sword with " Any" weapon. Go and learn how weapon basic attack speed working.
Time wasted. Good luck.
You are probably 30+ start to behave according to your age.
So what you are saying is that the raids on heroic are tuned for a higher itemlvl (to encourage grps doing 1-2 normal/heroic mixed runs first) but you just insist on getting free archeology epics to bypass that?
the point isnt how good the weapon is, or how quickly it’ll be replaced. but how it is ok to not get everything you want for free or with minuscule amount of grinding. yes it’s a tedious grind, but everyone is not supposed to get everything.
thank god you got to the problem yourself. . its taking me more time invested to get this weapon than any legendary i got, combined… but yeah the people doing “minucule” farming is the problem. ah yeah, when i got those legendaries, i was with a sure end to come…
And this is where it comes back to Blizzard being responsible to pre-empt degenerate gameplay when it pops up. They’ve made many changes, so they should make one here. Whether that ends up being a bad luck protection or even nerfing the items to 347 Item level, doesn’t matter.
No i dont think it should because it’s a complete player issue not caused by the game. Blizzard have control only on the mechanics not the players.
Shh… you’re speaking sense, been trying it in a few posts… but people don’t like it somehow.
looking at ur logs, 15 marrowgar hc 0 LK 1 week till cata XDDDD and you talk about “replacing quickly” good joke
If you have to resolve to personal attacks shows ways.
A pity seeing this from someone from hydraxian waterlords.
There are no player issues. Blizzard’s goal is to retain subscribers and to do that make a game people will enjoy and not burn themselves out of. Every issue that comes up is a developer issue. I’ll grant you that it’s not reasonable to expect them to foresee such a thing earlier, but once discovered, it’s their onus to adress it.
Game Developers have agency. In general for developers of all types, if you design your product in such a way that user’s natural inclinations cause misuse, then, even if the product is completely usable otherwise, it’s still on you to alter design in such a way as to prevent that.
But is not a gameplay issue, it a behavior issue. If they listen to the whine and add some sort of increase % of other fix, it will only reinforce the bias around this items, making it worse for people that are not interested in archeology.
The best solution is keeping has it is or requiring lv85 for the search. Because in the end the people complaining are just a laudy minority.
