I don’t freaking know, gameplay reasons in WC3.
Are you new to wow? The valkyr have been a big thing since wotlk. It even sounds to me you never even played the forsaken starting zones. You literally see her raise people from gilneas and dalaran
No he is right. No val’kyr in WC3, but Syvanas did raise them as part of the mission, somehow.
Are you? The Forsaken zone before it got revamped in Cataclysm told a different story. You weren’t being raised, you were just waking up from the Lich King mind control. Sylvanas started raising undead after Arthas was killed way, WAY later. So either you are new or you living up to your name and dementia setting in?
True, but back then it was just a splinter faction wich broke free from the scourge. All sorts of undead broke free including necromancers. I’m suprised forsaken never had necromancers in wow. Sylvanas also could mind control and charm enemies something she also doesnt do in wow
it’s called plot convenient abiltity i guess, sylvanas considered a powerful undead but there never specifications on what powerful undead can do, so basically just because she is strong she can pull out of nowhere abilities.
That’s how magic in warcraft worked all around until chronicles tried to introduce classifications, still don’t know why void and death both use shadow aspected magic.
Also i had impression that sylvanas didn’t raise much undead in warcraft 3, it’s just undead she commanded started to gain consciousness
Yeah well pre cata was a lorelol with undead not being able to be raised anymore and all forsaken necromancers suddenly having dissappeared
Lord Garithos did nothing wrong
That could explain it, but yeah the necromancer retcon was a bit weird in WoW now that I think of it. I mean you had access to pretty much all undead units in the RTS when you were playing as Sylvanas, even after she rebelled against Arthas,
Wrong on that one also, boss. Necromancers were shun by the Forsaken in Vanilla. There was no one with the ability to create more forsaken up until Cataclysm. Just admit you were wrong.
Yeah and since we know how sylvanas thinks, you’d expect her to keep some necromancers looked up for later use. She had no problem "re-educating"friendly death knights. So it makes no sense she’d let the necromancers run back to the scourge
Arthas was losing his power in WC3 due to something i dont remember, think he lost lvls for every new campain stage or something and while doing so lost controll over the scourge and Sylvanas herself. Thats where she picked up her army i think.
i guess necromancers have too much stigma even by forsaken standards? i mean dks atleast are former azeroth heroes, necromancers are considered worse than warlocks, super duper evil
no i am right, the necromancers being gone made 0 sense. Why keep making new literal abominations from stitching corpes together or do horrific experiments on living people in the undercity. But keeping necromancers around suddenly is bad and decided to shun them? I guess those abominations stitched together from corpses just wanted to live very badly instead necromancy
Thats kind of weird since they literally were making new abominations. I guess those got made with the power of friendship and family instead of necromancy
Forsaken shun Necromancers because they controll their raised, you know like Arthas did with them and they are not huge fans of that
Yea, you are right my rear. The necromancers were being killed firs off because necromancers weren’t undead. They were living. The undndead necromancers were Liches and those were being killed as well by the Forsaken.
You have no idea what you are on about. If you won’t admit you are wrong at least have the decency to keep your mouth shut regarding matters you don’t know anything about.
But she did command necromancers before and after she rebelled in the RTS. Also pretty sure that the undead units in that game were freshly raised given that you had to sacrifice your units to make more, the building names themselves etc.
Also Sylvanas having a stigma against necromancy is rich given pretty much all her development past her sepuku game on top of ICC.
It kinda made sense with the old cosmology chart. Void and Death were linked, but then Blizzard retconned it and moved Death between Order and Light for some reason.
Hey someone actually played a forsaken here.
is there mind control element in abominations? I mean prime grudge of forsaken against scourge is that necromancers use undead like puppets.
