So I want to level up an alliance aswell. I have a mage, dont think i would like another one… I was considering Rogue, but playing against Orc I imagine to be pretty lame with the stun resist.
My other choice was Warlock, but wotf makes me hesitate quite a bit.
So to avoid a long wall of text, what classes is “suffering” the least when playing against the Horde racials?
Class is not the most important thing, realm is, some will not allow you to get to 60 as you will be ganked into submission.
Play the class you like.
Play rogue, but avoid orcs since in the open world you can pick encounters.
I might roll Dwarf Rogue, as i find them pretty funny.
Do you guys or anybody suggest a realm? I don`t playing on the underdog side but everybody have their limits

But i am home… Suggest me a new home as alliance
Dwarf rogue (it is actually one of the best rogue race as stoneform + vanish is super OP) on ZT (only Alliance pvp server) is a pretty solid idea.
The other one is dwarf priest. Be it shadow or disc, it is really strong.
The only combo i would avoid is druid anything (just a gimped class, only good when overgearing), warlock (wotf UD rogues will destroy you).
Thank you for a good answer! As far as i can read, ZT is in heavy favor for the alliance. I would not like to roll on such a server tbh. Its not that fun if its “hard” to meet the other faction=(

Gnomes make the best casters and warriors.
Dwarves make the best support priests and are easily the best rogue race.
A warlock with soullink can still beat most things, also as alliance. You just tank rogues till they fall over. It’s not much of a raid spec though.
I also think hunter doesn’t suffer too much any of the horde racials. I did a topic on ‘most skill requiring class’ a month ago and suprisingly hunter came out on top. So they might give you a good sense of reward too.
TBH though I wouldnt make too much an effort in finding best this or that.
You already abandoned the EZ mode faction, thats good.
Might as well go all out, and pick whatever appeals to you for whatever reason, rather than just looking at PvP performance.
A very good answer Vonn! Could you recommend a server? I would like a big server with lots of active people\guilds on the PVP side of life (Skullflame - Medium sometimes during, full on primetime is my horde server). Full server with as close to 50\50 as possible:)
This is exactly why I rolled mage
You mostly meet undeads and orcs so chosing rogue or warlock or priest would be just dumb. There aren´t really many options left… so I would roll hunter or paladin if I were you.
Here’s what you do:
You open up with a zug zug, and then you finish them off with a kek. The it’s all ez clap from there.
Roll a Druid. Roots are your form of cc that are not affected by orcs or undead. X
The alliance should just have one character class called Target Dummy or Training Dummy because that is the effective player experience for anyone not in a 100 man raid

I’m enjoying lock as Alliance I’ll admit that it is slightly annoying coming up against Undead characters but as Vonn said you have the survivability if you use the pvp spec (Demo) to deal with those pesky rogues and as more content is released and you gain more survivability these encounters become even easier. Locks are similar to Warriors in that they scale really well with gear, in fact they are the caster class in WoW that’s scales the best with gear.
Only problem is in PvE we are slightly gimped because we need the blood vine set from ZG to obtain spell hit cap which isn’t possible in P1 due to lack of +spell hit gear but once ZG is released you’ll see locks competing on the DPS meters and more will be brought to raid, currently many guilds only bring 2-3 locks. (the min maxers)
There isn’t many classes that will be able to beat you 1v1 if you play the class well.
As for race go for what you want but if you want to get the most out of your lock then roll Gnome. In PvP escape artist helps out quite a bit as one of Locks biggest weakness is mobility which is made worse with slowing effects plus in PvE its still useful to get rid of debuffs that do damage, reduce stats and slow because as long as the debuff reduces movement speed then Escape Artist will remove it.
Gl mate.
I would back up on Gnome, they have pretty cool casting animations too.
For server all I can do is NOT recommend Stonespine, thats where I play.
With the knowledge of today I would probably have picked Zandalar Tribe to play on. It would also be a little bit picking the easy game as Alliance is not outnumbered there unlike all other PvP servers.
I would still do it. Its fair game, other pvp servers is just masochism for a bit to be alliance.
Do you want a solo class or a class to play with friends? If solo, dwarf rogue or even dwarf hunter.
Group or friends? Paladin.
Most servers are around 58/42 for H/A. Dispite that, the Alliance are more than capable of putting up a fight. Take Firemaw for example; the Alliance are outnumbered but most certainly not outgunned, they have the best guilds and players.
I get ganked whilst trying to farm in Winterspring as a Horde just as often as most of these Alliance forum whiners. Some nights I can barely kill 4 furbolgs before being ganked.
Some nights, not every night. That’s the difference.
