Alliance server question

Which alliance server is good these days for casual pvp and casual pve ? Due to real life responsibilities I cant devote that much time to wow as I could do in the past .
So I am mainly looking to do normal dungeons mythic 0 dungeons and casual bg pvp and unlocking allied races .which alliance server will suit me the most ?
Also is there a difference between pvp bg winnings for alliance on rp servers VS non rp servers or is it not a factor alot .
Also I would prefer if queue times are a bit less for dungeon wait and bg if possible

Isn’t this all cross server? So its the same regardless.

For alliance, try; Silvermoon, Ravencrest or Antonidas.

Indeed it is. The only thing server specific is mythic raiding (until like 100 guilds on each side clears it) and economy.

Thank you Cedrad!

That’s a German realm, don’t try Antonidas unless you speak German

My Alliance characters are on Sylvanas and on Argent Dawn. I prefer Argent Dawn so far. While Sylvanas is larger, Argent Dawn is quite a unique realm and the occasional open RP just makes the game more immersive.

My bad!

Silvermoon or Ravencrest it is!

I mostly pvp so i can’t tell you about what the pve mythics is like, my guild does run them a fair bit so i guess not too bad.

pvp wise, alliance is outnumbered in warmode, but not to a point that it’s hopeless. i quite like playing the underdog faction so it works for me that it’s about 60-40 in hordes favour. i would not recommend lvling in warmode tho as i have to exterminate lowby killing hordes nonstop.

I see .so sylvanas or Argent dawn will be a better fit

Dont go to AD unless u intend to actually RP though.

Go for RP realm if you want to play with Warmode. Ignore whiners :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I think Sylvanas is the worst of both worlds IMO. It’s large and active but there isn’t much Raiding going on compared to Ravencrest. Since you’re on Stormscale, you could call it an Alliance Stormscale while Ravencrest compares more to Twisting Nether but for Alliance.

Even if you don’t want to raid, having a ton of Mythic Raiding guilds on the realm indicates attractivity to good and active players.

If you’re into RP go Argent Dawn. You don’t need to RP yourself. I mean if you find it nice to watch people RPing. If I didn’t have about a decade of gathering horde friends behind me, I’d go Alliance Argent Dawn full time.

I don’t have time to rp myself but I find it interesting seeing people rp in major cities .

Silvermoon. Community is pretty good and helpful and also the economy is really good.

any idea how silvermoon fares in terms of casual pvp battlegrounds ?

There was a rather lengthy discussion about RP’rs view on ppl not interested in RP moving to AD yesterday. I think its important that we respect the RP community. Theres no need to go to AD, u can pick populated servers like silvermoon or ravencrest instead.

Que times are the same across all realms.
Currently you can increase your win ratio in Random BGs by queing as 5 player groups, assuming you all work together that is.

All RP realms operate on a different cross realm zone, it is more alliance controlled, there is less pvp overall.
You just have to make sure you are not disruptive towards RPers on these realms and your name selection is appropriate.

You can try each realm before you make your choice, if you have a friend on any of these realms you could CRZ over and check it out, also realm forums are good to find guilds that may be suiting or occassionally trade chat too.

Well I mean for random bgs and and WM server doesn’t really matter, simply because of sharding. If your asking about pvp guilds- I believe there a few but not sure how serious they’re about pvp. The thing is that before the change they make in BFA with servers, Silvermoon was a PvE server so from my observation players are mostly interested in PvE content. Hope that helps :slightly_smiling_face:

To me I think the guild you pick is going to have the largest impact on your experience. Whilst realm changes very little in comparison, picking the right guild will give you instant access to most of this content and hopefully like minded friends to enjoy it with, many of us make friends in wow and keep them forever(or until we stop resurrecting!)

I would recommend Silvermoon realm for alliance for both PvP and pve it’s a very high alliance populated realm so you will always get a group together for anything at least my experience playing there also if you just want super casual pve you can go AD just ignore people barating you for not doing rp on the realm.

Its really frowned upon not at least trying to RP especially on AD, as its the last remaining true RP Bastion.
