Resistance would have been staying in Hordemode and trying to make it Alliancemode while playing under the same rules. Instead Alliance needed bribes to even try.
Both factions have wm pve players, but Horde pveāers are in excess. Blizz have the data, and that is what they have said. At 15% and no aoo, Alliance pveāers are reduced to ānormalā. Observationally, I often see a lot more Horde resource gatherer/wquest pvebots than Alliance ones. The excess Horde wm pveāers are the reason for Alliance extra 5% bonus. And they take up the slot of a wpvper on a shard. Need to reduce the Horde pveāers, target those pve bots!

- Existing extra Horde pveāers are reduced during Alliance aoo, but gradually come back when no aoo at 15%.
This leads to the bonus swinging from 20% to 15% to 20% to 15%. The aoo effect could be permanently reducing a % of Horde pveāers each time, eventually resulting in Alliance 10%. Hope so, but it will require focusing those Horde pveāers I think
or more likly your still dilusional refusing to accept that theres more pvers on alliance than horde and they just turn off when not given the carrot.

I know and its the same BS oooh its horde pvers that are the problem, not the fact that is obviuse to everyone that alliance turn off warmode the moment there isnt a additional bonus.
Itās easy to focus on one specific aspect, one that affects your faction, but there is a bigger picture.
The bonus % is our one reliable wm faction balance stat. It shows Horde are in excess of Alliance on region. Regardless of player type, that is a fact. And blizz donāt want this imbalance, itās bad for wm.
Each faction comprises a variety of player types. At the beginning of bfa, the factions were balanced according to blizz. We can only assume player types were balanced too, no data to say otherwise. Then, a sharding issue led to Alliance pveers wm off, and extra Horde wm on. Blizz have stated this, they have the data. That sharding issue was fixed, but an ongoing imbalance in region was triggered. Horde pveāers grew and Alliance pveāers declined. Blizz have stated Horde pveāers are the main reason for current population imbalance in wm region. That is the problem.
Relying on expected wm on/off normal fluctuation was not effective, Blizzās solution is very clever, and is working to naturally rebalance the factions. Blizz want that variety of player types, but they also want wpvp to happen, and pveāers were affecting that goal. Sure, have different player types, but aim for equal numbers per faction.
The bonus/aoo solution:
- Temporarily increase Alliance in wm during aoo, to reduce Horde pveāers temporarily.
- Hope that a % of the temporary excess aoo Alliance get a taste for wm and leave it on.
- Hope that a % of Alliance pveāers leave wm on due to extra bonus, even when it reduces.
- Hope that a % of Horde pveers get a distaste for wm and leave it off.
The above might need to be repeated several times, and may never result in equality, but itās an interesting system, that for sure stimulates conflict, and at same time brings faction pops closer. Great for wm, conflict must happen. On a wm shard, both sides have generally equal opportunities, but with Horde having theoretical lfg advantage. The bitterness you are experiencing is intentional, and part of stimulating conflict. WPvPers will take it out on their opponents, good for wm.
The above doesnāt seem deluded to me, seems quite logical. But if people disagree, thatās ofc fine, everything should be questioned.

Evidenced by allt he threads that complain about too much and no Alliance in WM, in short āBliz, WM is not fun if Alliance can strike back against my gank group! I want many Horde vs few Alliance otherwsise itās unfair!ā. They want easily killed people but not run any risk themselves, the threads are beyond tiring now.
Most of you Horde only turned it on when they found it a almost risk free 10% bonus, it was evident in hordemode that if 1vs1 you guys ran past us but the moment (most of the time) it was several vs 1, that 1 or 2 Alliance players would just get corpse camped. Yes Horde is a a very brave and honorfull faction! You guys created the problem by massivly turning it on for the free 10% and absuing the fact and bragging on the forums about how good your faction was bullying Alliance of WM.

Then we had the whole situations when Horde as raiding Boralus you guys flexxed and when the few Alliance in WM teamed and camped your boat and raided Zuldaāzar you guys instantly took to the forums to complain. Face it most of the Horde in WM just wanted/wants it be 4vs1 or worse. Give us (Horde) the rewards but not the risk!
Bonus is now 15% vs 10% of yours and still the endless complaints wonāt stop. This still means if you donāt like WM then turn it off, then once enough of the Horde does it it will be 10%/10% again. I ran several test pre-8.1 and 25-30+ waiting to do a WQ wasnāt uncommon. In that time maybe 1 or 2 Alliance arrived. Only problem what the Alliance has in raiding and M+ aswell our oppertunities to group are severly limited, and even then we coudl manage 20-30 people to take out the Horde raid they would have a 2nd raid in a minute. To say it was demoralizing was an understatement.
no, the problem is the alliance. They chose not to turn on WM and then kept going on about the imbalance they created by being cowards and ducking out once they found they could be killed. Then got spoon fed free gear that the other faction that chose to keep on warmode is unable to get.
You know what was fun, the assult in drustvar earlier, both sides had the kill 10 people quest so both had the same insentives and everyone had great fun. Kind of ruined when one side has a encouragment to kill a bunch of the other while the other isnt given anything for even defending itself.
Im so fed up of the alliance trying to justify this unfair quest by claming it was the hordes fault for actualy enjoying warmode. You complain the horde was able to get raids together when NOT being rewarded for it? well maybe thats becouse they like to pvp more. Hell during the worst of pre 8.1 warmode stuff we didnt run into borlas in such numbers it made getting hand ins impossible resulting in blizzard having to increase and buff up the guards.
The horde have the same risks as the alliance do becouse sharding issues still happen. You can easly find yourself on a shard were the other faction grosly outnumber you and are farming you regardless of it being alliance or horde, only difference was the alliance was rewarded for that even when becouse of the shard the nature of the reward made no sense.
Iāve had Wm on on all my toons for the whole Expansion, even when Iāve been corpse camped by 40+ alliance at a Tortollan quest or spam killed by a raid at Warfang hold.
Weirdly, this ganking only seems to happen when Alliance have the free loot quest and 20%+ bonus. Since the bonus dropped, alliance have been scarce again.
Alliance are out there, just depends on your shard, player distribution, lfg effect, overflow shards.
Lfg effect is probably the biggest thing that affects perception of balance on a shard. If 10 Alliance from your shard join a group on another shard, they phase out. They are still part of your shard, but you canāt see them. That could make Alliance look scarce, but they are just somewhere else. Ungroup, back to their own shard.
For example, when I was in Drustvar last night the turtle wq beach was very Alliance active, many were no doubt in lfg parties. I could see them, perceived lots of Alliance, but they were not part of my shard. On the shard they cane from, Horde would perceive fewer Alliance. When they leave group or it disbands, back they go to their shard, probably straight to Boralus. And similarly, at one point a Horde raid phased in. On their shards, it would seem less Horde. Disband, back they go.
The shards are faction balanced, but lfg effect can make them seem unbalanced. Alliance are out there somewhere! Right now region faction balance is not equal but not so bad. As the weeks go by, Horde pveāers will return to wm, putting us back to aoo, then another cull. Faction balance can eventually happen, in the mean time we have a cycle of normal wm, then aoo chaos, then back again. Fun conflict, encourages pvp.
Doesnāt matter if Alliance turn off dm after aoo. What matters is the faction balance with no aoo, and itās closer, proving the success of the system.

it scews up the psychology of risk reward by providing something for one group without providing it to another. And what it did was encourage the worst of WPVP as you got rampant flight point camping that was worse than anything that happened in the so called Horde mode days. Not to mentionion making the docks at dazarlor unusable by having multible full parties running through it killing every person they saw to the point blizz had to add more guards and buff them.
I do like warmode but no one wants to see large raids of PVERS run in kill 25 people bog off then act like they diserved that loot. There are much better draws for WM that act on both sides but AOO makes no sense when it leads to gank raids and the very people Blizzard clamed they didnt want IN WM.
Every bloody time I landed on a FP in Stormsong I was camped by a Horde raid! EVERY TIME! Stop acting like the Horde is a victim, ah yes a 385. SO game breaking, that 8 pieces of ore/leather/cloth break the game!
Do you know what i have to do for a 385 ilvl gear as horde? I have to do hours of bgs or assaults to gather 500 conquest points, while you get it for free. Does that sound equal for you? Or do you deserve more then others just because you are on alliance side?
We have a weekā¦ a few assaults, a few bounties, that fills most of the conquest bar with zero effort. 385 items are easy to get, and if already have one usually go straight in the scrapper, and one extra aoo scrap item is no big deal at all. It affects nothing, but I find it fun to get these items anyway. You never know when Pawn will say itās a 2% upgrade for that slot, Iāll take that!
My avg ilvl is stuck at 376, wm rewards are rarely an upgrade. But I refuse to pve, except wm content. But since ilvl is scaled, it doesnāt even really matter.
And we did it because we liked it. Not for a piece of gear, but just for the fun of it. Thatās real warmode.
