Whats with that? I’m talking a good 10+ Alliance to 1 horde here. The dailies become impossible to complete as there is just a constant swarm of Alliance on them - I might see 1 or 2 horde try their luck and get mobbed on, thats it.
Warmode is RNG faction balance. It’s an awful design with no real solution.
Such a shame. I just had a blast of a time because there was 3 horde there at once and only about double the amount of Alliance, then within minutes it got to the point that there was basically an entire raid of alliance and the 3 horde had no choice but to leave
Reported for trolling.
Already same thread exists. Exactly same troll thread. . Covid lockdown extended so now weekend is permanent?
From my experience, it’s either full of horde with 0 alliance players in sight, or has scattered horde players with some alliance killsquad running around.
Two people experiencing the same thing? That is absolute madness - no way.
That only means you have more targets to kill
Your self awereness is staggering.
What angers you so much? I thought you’d be glad about Alliance gaining numbers, but that means you can’t cry about the Horde on the forums anymore?
I turned it on yesterday to do Maw dailies and make it a bit more spicy. I saw ZERO alliance player. I had to double check if I really turned WM on. It was sad.
How can they give us a clean 50/50 though?
I don’t use the forums much so I’m not overly familiar but I’d hazard a guess it’s someone who is very young or an adult on the spectrum.
This is also my experience in SL (and was from 8.3.5 in BfA) but no one will listen, you will be called a liar etc. This week I have turned WM off for the first time (it seems less important in SL anyway bonus wise and there is no assault like mechanic)
There may be more Horde but the balancing of shards is completely broken. I am faced with an army of Russian named Alliance players and have been for months (unless I group up and phase away)
This seems to be the same experience for friends who play Horde on different realms to me. Ever since I came to bastion at level 48 with WM on, it has been heavily dominated by Alliance for me
As others have said it’s pretty mixed. You can be in a zone where you’re outnumbered 10 to 1 by alliance players and 5mins later you changed the zone (and presumably the shard aswell) and suddenly you don’t see any alliance players at all.
I don’t know how the warmode bonus is determined, but I personally think it should be based on the amount of players of a faction in the current zone. Because currently I sometimes see players running around with a huge 30% exp bonus, while also outnumbering the other faction. It just feels weird.
The problem with warmode is the matchmaking-based world. Sometimes you get matchmade in a shard completely dominated by the enemy faction. This is the minority of cases for the Horde, but it is also the standout cases. I’ve noticed that 3 out of 10 times, I’ll be on a shard that’s dominated by the Alliance. When I was leveling my paladin through the Shadowlands, I thought Alliance were banned by Blizz from matchmaking with Horde. I was seeing 100% only Horde players through out Bastion and Maldraxxus. I only started seeing Alliance in Ardenweald.
I’m not on a RP realm bu my WM shard is shared with Silvermoon and Ravencrest.
I seem to have been ‘matchmade’ with the same shard since 8.3.5. I see the same Russian names as they beat my behind in a raid group as a spawn/land at flight point/zone in.
I’m happy to fight but at the moment I cannot enter the Maw, I am killed in seconds on entry.
Making a raid can dramatically shift a shard’s balance. I don’t know what the limit for players in a single shard is, but I’m sure making a raid of 40 will cause it to shift, and push some players from outside the raid out of the shard as raid members are brought in.
Leveled 4 alliance via WM i can tell you right now that statement is completely untrue.
Especially in Bastion and Maldraxxus , i saw one other fellow Alliance. He was running away from two Orc Warriors and that was the last i saw of him. I presume he got killed.
Apart from that it’s been a wasteland , fortunately my gnomish size can hide me from most gankers.
As far as I am aware there is no benefit to having War Mode on in the Maw, other than having the pleasure of killing or being ganked by players of the other faction. Deaths by other players will also cause you to lose Stygia, until you loot your corpse. Rares are faction-tagged.
