Hi everyone, as the title suggest, I’m rolling warrior on fresh. I’ve played feral/OT in classic all the way to AQ40, now I wanna try tanking as a brown boy, a dwarf or human.
My question is, how relevant the human racial is and how it’s gonna affect my chances to get into raid and getting stuffed ? I know all the hardcore people gonna say human is bis but is there a chance for a little dwarf tank ?
Thank you all for the answers and happy launch day !
gnome for pvp human for pve
Stop supporting and fueling a ridiculous min-max meta that sucks the fun out of the game, and just pick the race you vibe the most with…

Racials are really about playstyle. The benefits they add are marginal.
This nerd echo chamber about class/race combination has been ongoing forever.
For instance, Dwarf Warrior is pretty cool with the ability to remove diseases, poisons, and bleed, things often overlooked when facing Rogues, hunters, Forsaken priests, etc…Dwarves also got the highest base strength and stamina on Ally side, so +7 more strength and +4 more stamina compared to a Gnome (see what I did right here, silly min/maxing)
OR a Night Elf warrior charging you from the shadows, or denying an opposing enemy warrior’s charge by stealthing; having an extra 1% dodge means Nelf warriors have the highest defense rating in game for tanking…the list of advantages per racial is endless, the problem with the Classic community is always focused on one aspect of the game, ignoring the rest and making these boring generic gameplays.

OR a gnome warrior who escape artist your root and you just accept death
charge - blink - intercept - nova - escape artist - die
No, go human. You’ll save yourself thousands of gold, just from character creation screen
Gnomes for the win. Nothing like holding aggro by tickleing some giants boss toes.
Min-max might not matter THAT much in pve but holy fck what a difference it is in pvp for classic+tbc
