I really do hope Blizz don’t see mythic + as " the end content" next expansion.
Just running the same dungeons over and over is so damn boring.
Please next expansion if you don’t want to make brand new dungeons at least re-design the launch dungeons , take a different path , new boss mechanics something to give it new flavour the seasonal affix runes are so yawn.
I just feel sorry for those who running trying to get ksm this season , how aren’t you bored yet ? Got 2 guildies been spamming them , and they said they have to take drugs to make them fun.
Yeh I mean just let the dungeon evolve over seasons.
Old routes blocked by rubble or vines , gives us a new route to deal with it.
Swap in bosses , mobs , something to add flavour.
I don’t want to taste grilled chicken , add some jerk spices to it from time to time. Damn marinated it , in massala spices. There’s a reason we eat food so many different ways. Just to keep it from being so damn boring.
Same for dungeons , add some jerk spice to it , every season. Sad thing is we will never see lore dungeons with catch up loot like we did in Wrath and Cata because everything has to be over designed to fit the M+ grid and that sucks honestly.
Zereth Mortis could have done with 3 intro dungeons before raid opened. For players to understand what is ZM about and why it’s so important to wow lore and also explain to people re-subbing why the jailer is there and his reasons.
Could have worked along with Jaina or Baine or Thrall to uncover it’s mysteries. Give them a purpose rather than just standing around acting important but doing nothing.
But … no .,… effort and it wouldn’t fit the M+ design,
This used to be a thing in classic. Blizzard would add extra dungeon bosses during patches. Take a look at Shadowfang keep, where an undead abomination boss gets added during Naxxramas.
Yeah Imagine the jailor took over the dungeon , cosmetically changed it up a bit.
Like in Mists of Tirna Scithe , it’s stuck in time , dealing with the Drust which became irrelevant in the story soon as you finished the night fae order hall campaign.
I have fun till i hit KSM
then i stop play exactly like i did in 9.0 and 9.1
there is no point go further cause after KSM there is only the rankings and flexing who got the higher dungeon
My issue with m+'s this expansion around is more about poor camera angles and tight corridors. And everything being the same colour and too much AoE clutter to the point my eyes go completely <.> And I now need computer glasses before I am about to go blind
Personally, i like m+ because before Legion, i always hated how fast they became irrelevant, but its just a fact that they are not giving a crap about it, outside of changing seasonal affixes. But even the new one is just a worse copy of the previous one.
At this point we have so many seasonal affixes that even those could be on a weekly rotation. They should also design more affixes in general, and something that’s fun instead of making people feel miserable.
WoW endgame certainly needs improvement, because m+ can’t carry the whole game on its back for much longer.
But the reality is that most likely we will have a solo system, the third copy of the artifact power system with little changes to not be too obvious, and every instanced content will remain the same. Something that i have to appreciate in BfA, even if i hated the expansion and they completely missed what players wanted, is that they at least tried to create more content outside of raid and m+.
