As the title says, do not like it. Anyone know any new addons that revert back to the original UI? Would appreciate any suggestions
I hope so.
Iâve not logged in yet so no idea how bad it will be but not looking forward to it.
I guess this is why we have three weeks of no content so we can sort out our UIs.
This was meant to reduce the need for Add-Ons but it may increae them as those who like UI Add-Ons will stick with them as the new UI doesnât do all they do and those who liked (or are just used to) the old UI will get an Add-On to get as close to original as possible.

I played without addons on the old UI for so many years I feel absolutely lost now and I donât know what to do about it. I wish there was a button to let me use the old UI as it was. I do get why there was a need to make it fresh and new but I am not happy about it personally and would love a choice in the matter

As with any UI changes they are most often not liked at first because people are not used to them. It was that way with Windows 95 and the Start button, then Windows 8 (which was a really bad design). Windows 10 and Windows 11 also had the same issues.
I know the examples above are from OSâs and not games but itâs a matter of getting used to the changes. Using an addon to try and revert back to the old look will use up system resources and potentially cause issues with other things.
It may not be the response you wanted but stick with it - get used to to and you will soon wonder why you ever thought about trying to get the old UI back again.

Yep Iâve always hated the default chat bar as itâs not very customizable but the prat 3.0 addon has not been updated since last year so I may have to install ElvUI for the time being just to remove the current abomination. Plus a lot of these ânewâ features for the new default UI are not as customizable as I thought they were meant to be. Itâs almost like they painted over the wallpaper

Biggest issue for me is the text hurts my eyes, would love a dark mode for action bars too.

Yeah Iâm really hoping thereâll be an addon to restore the old art. Really not a fan of this souless, âmodernâ take. Or how my bags have a seathrough background now.

Itâs okay.
ElvUI is still my prefered UI, and i wonât be changing it out. There is simply too many elements missing, even with the new HUD.

Lel , 1st day and already the drama , i love the changes , the old ui was primitive and 0 customization i personally didnât use addons that can move stuff , for me itâs great .

I dont think anyone mentioned hate, but a rather simple wish to have both options represented in the game, which wouldnât be a big deal. Games should be all about choices after all.

There should be an update to the addon ClassicUI on Curseforge coming in the next couple of days.

Just stick with what you are used to then?
Go play classic if you want the old UI. Thereâs absolutely no need for the devs to keep the old code around because a few people canât deal with change.

Well the new UI you hate it because its new, its exacly what elvui is tbh except you dont have the options like elvui is, also this ui from blizzard doesnt take alot of memory tbh also a +. If you hate this ui well toobbad for you not a reason for blizz to revert it tbh.
I donât understand all the fuss about the UI. You can make it exactly like the classic UI, with the exception of Minimap. Go to edit mode > pick the classic preset > and change what isnât in the classic preset to look like the original one. Takes less than 5 minutes.
