And you are not getting better gear by beating harder content. Better gear is behind weeklywall of bingo lottery.
You havent done any content om thst alts so donyou expect? 200itemlvl in your mail?
So what youâre saying is you want your alts geared up far faster and as equally high level as a character you spend quite a while on? That seems⌠stupid imo. And alt is an alt, a main is a main.
If you want a geared alt, put the effort in and stop asking Blizzard to bend their game so you can spam alts, gear them up, then quit the alt and make another alt and gear it up again. There is 0 logic in it.
Gear progression is a huge (and core) part of an MMORPG, and 170ilevel gear is more than enough to give you a kickstart. I see 0 issues.
So why are people walking around in 210 itemlvl and top guilds averahe itemlvl is above 220 itemlvl?
No, It is not. Casuals had no plroblem gearingg in BFA tio at least 30 below max ilvl a month or 2 in.
We have no natural sence of progression.
We have to much welfare gear.
Sense of progression =/= giving you gear for sake of progression. You are supostu get gear becouse you are constanly defeating harder content. If you are stuck on itemlvl thats on you.
If I cant get gear tok drop, Thats higher then what I generally run on a multitude okf slots that are available, and that 1 item is on a slot thats full. That doesnt make me feel motivated.
Iff you fail to understand that grasp of sence of progression cause people lose the motivation to even bother to play cause⌠why not give us welfare gear its gonna come anywayâŚ
Because I donât even try considering my main is just 203 ilvl by doing double heroic, double normal and 16 M+.
That is what alt friendly means. Being able to get relatively good gear in short amount of time. Itâs been like this in BfA. In SL I cannot even hope to start alt as I will be permanently behind because of again: Weekly bingo lotteryâ˘
Its the definition of âwanting to have your cake and eat it tooâ.
When I saw Renown drop from dungeon endbosses I was really surprised that there was a catchup mechanic in place already by expansion launch.
Doing all Mythic 0 dungeons in a week awards you with like 6-8 pieces of 184 gear, which already pushes you well towards 170-180 ilvl. Fill up the rest with Heroic gear and crafted stuff and you are good to go for Normal raids. You wont dominate meters but you also wont be below tanks if you can at least somewhat play your class.
From there onwards its a whole different ballgame, with the low droprates and all, but at this point its about what your environment expects from you. If they tell you âok next week we wont take anyone below Ilvl 200â then your environment just sucks.
No it isnât. itâs making an alt, getting it to max level and being able to get your foot through the door, not to entirely gear your character up in a day to be on par with your main.
Because of luck and because they have more time and top guilds bought BoE:

Well your itemlvl is less than 30itemlvl below max and we are 1 month into expansion so?
Oh I see⌠Relatively good gear means on par with main nowâŚ
And why should players what have more time and more gold to not be in better gear faster? You are casual and you are putting less effort so you naturaly dont deserve those rewards.
Yes it is. Being able to catch up with main while putting enough effort means alt-friendly. If I cannot literally do that in ANY way, then its garbo, not alt friendly.
That is not a part of a problem. You just asked some unrelated question which I answered.
Nice to see youâre still around. Also whatâs relative to you? 170 ilevel? 180ilevel? 190ilevel? 200ilevel?
Also, each week goes by and the renowned makes it easier to catch up. The fact that people are spam making alt this early into the expansion AND expecting them to be even remotely close to HC raid ilevel is comical.
So youâre rerolling? Not making an alt.
No its not. If thats how it was supposed to be, then everyone would put 3-4 weeks of effort into a âmainâ character, then swap to another âaltâ and abuse your idea of alt friendlyness to get ahead of their main within 1-2 weeks.
That just makes no sense. Its not Blizzards fault you cant decide on a single main character.
Alt friendlyness should be about how easy it is for a new character to âopen the doorâ to endgame content. And with Threads of Fate, Renown catchup, relatively high Mythic 0 droprates you can get that door open within a week of playing. Thats fine in my book.
Clearly it is. This whole.loot problem is nothing but few entiltes casuals asking for more rewards becouse they simply dont want or cant put enough effort into the game.
Dude, simple facts. I could in BfA play for 2-3 weeks on alt and gear it up to heroic level. Just like that, obviously it meant doing lots of M+ but it was possible.
Now its not possible because my guild doesnât run quadriple heroic runs each week so alt has to either go with pug or do M+. But M+ gear is gated behind weekly bingo lottery.
