Alt friendly ....NOUP!

Itemlevelupgrade doesnt mean upgrade. The forum is filled all over the place with people with similar stories, you are 2-3 whiteknights defending it but it doesnt change it.

Youre the kind of guy who is so ignorant that you would stand on a sinking ship that everybody left and claim everything is fine, the ship is sailingin good winds!

I can hear you and see you right here, sitting on a privateserver-sized game chanting in the echochamber of whiteknights that everything is fine, that your epic wrists are so meaningful and memorable.

You guys are funny, but you are completely wrong.

No, Alt friendly in SL terms means subscribe longer.

Oh hush. If I do 11 dungeans and get 1 peace of loot in M+, I become reliant of welfare gear…

If you did 100 dungeons and got 1 item with bad stats you are rained down with epics.

If you did 100 dungeons with no loot you “heeve to gou wourk for thi loot thi loot daoes nout coume four frii u are claiming welfeire epics”

ppl will just give up instead of subscribe longer

That was my point.

and on top of that titanforging and m+ cant go without each other now if u play m+ u are only can do from week to week 1 item rest is just garbage loot anyway maybe with fresh characters but later will be just from week to week and nothing else

For me alt friendlyness simply means how quickly you can get another character to raid-ready status.

For me, raid ready this expansion means having ~180 ilvl, a 190 legendary and caught up on renown for Soulbind purposes.

And you can do all of that within a week. Now of course some of you will say “Nobody takes a fresh char with 180 gear into a raid!”. Yeah, Pugs might not. But then again its not hard to have a raid group and ask them “Hey, Id like to try another chararacter!”. As long as you arent Mythic Progressing I doubt its a big deal.

I still havent see anyone who run yours 10+ mythics and run normal.or heroic raid without getting any item. Everytime i check those who say are not getting rewards profile its like player what run 1 mythic +2 and killed 3 bosses in lfr who complains about not getting any upgrades.

Yes you can. The Covenant campaign gives 170+ ilevel gear, and getting renowned on an alt is ridiculously fast.

When they mean “catch up on gear”, they literally mean getting 200+ ilvl loot instantly on an alt. Which is incredibly stupid.

Soft cap 184 normall mythic

I do +5 = 194 upgrade.

11 dungeans for 194 upgrade?

Highest ilvl from mythic raiding is 236(?)

Yeah I know :frowning: Alexima in this thread hit the nail on the head about it.

Why is it everyone wants super high ilevel alts compared to their main? I honestly don’t understand the logic for needing it.

Yes you have done few +5, LFR a 2 bosses in normal. Which is like fraction of content and you are 194itemlvl. So there is no issue.

Yes there is. Its called having a sence of prgression and most of my gear comes fromm welfare stufff.

I think it sorta makes sense if you wanna switch mains and are not in a guild/raidgroup. So you wanna level a new character but will (apparently) never get taken in Pugs because your new char is behind the gear curve.

But there are just many ways to solve this issue.

“Sense of progression” is an incredibly subjective term which might be different for everyone.

Sense of progression =/= giving you gear for sake of progression. You are supostu get gear becouse you are constanly defeating harder content. If you are stuck on itemlvl thats on you.

I really hope you are joking. 170 ilvl is trash and getting renown is basically doing the same thing on alts as on main = farming emissaries callings.

Oh for sure, I swapped mains from disc priest, and still found it rather easy to gear, even with the limited time I have to play at the moment due to IRL. You just have to put a little bit of effort in if you actually want to reroll a main.

However it seems like the majority of the people complaining about the game being alt unfriendly are players who don’t really do much of anything outside of LFR and your odd mythic dungeon.

Which leaves me to question why do they even need all their alts decked out. If Blizzard watered the game down to be as alt-friendly as some of these people want it to be, there’d literally be no content for us players who prefer to stick to one main, and have a few alts just to mess about on. :frowning:
