I have 7 level 60 chars. The most tedious and unnessessary chore was and still is the campaign, i.e. the covenant story. It was fine to do it for the 1st time. But absolutely disgusting when doing it 6th time.
Other than that it’s all good.

You’re calling me a whiner, and most subjects I have ‘whined’ about are the problem of loot.
But your whining about me whining beccause now I have to deviate from what I done in BFA to fully spam mythic+ and hope ffor upgrades while I didnt have to do that prior and was able to waste more time on doing all the other stuff like lores, do some old raids for mogs and what not, because I dont want to stack weekly campaign bs at the end of an tier. And on top of that, week 7 isnt end of tier and willl be getting me non effort welfare gear.

No time gating for alts! This is how it should be at the very very minimum.
Catch up mechanics ought to mean, at the very least, “go run Torghast straight on layer 8, and no Ash limit for the week, since you have already missed 10 weeks”.
And it would be extremely nice if they would consider reputations and covenants, for example to have account bound progress for some things, at the end of the day YOU CAN ONLY PLAY ONE CHARACTER AT A TIME. If I spend 2 hours doing dailies and covenant quests on Alt A it gets very boring having to repeat on Alt B.

I find the endless amusement knowing that most of the people crying about “lack of gear” probably cried about “Having nothing to do” in BFA because of the sheer amount of gear that was handed out.
I don’t even speak from the perspective of a good player - I ran M+ at the end of BFA with a group of friends and we barely managed to get all +15s done, it felt good achieving that when we did manage it though, i’d hate to know what my RIO score is, so i’m never going to install it hehe

I didnt knew 4-5 months ago was end of BFA… I saincerly thought that was 1-2 months ago… cause ya know, Thats the end of BFA… Might wanna actualyl complete an arguement just because you ‘did’ dungeans weith a guild when your 4 months ago away next expansion release…
And why are you saying speccificly guild runs anyway since about every 6+ in season 3 you even done with the same people?

People seem to beleive alt friendly is something more then it really is.
Alt friendly doesn’t mean you make a alt 3 weeks later and find it easy to catch uptoo your main. Your Alts not susposed to be on the same power level as Ur main.
Alt friendly is a judge on how invested u have to be to keep a second char at the minimum.
I have 1 main and 3 Alts. I have no problem keeping them up on the dailies, covenant progression, torghast progression. That’s a alt friendly game.
People seem to mistake alt friendlyness for this idea that you can reroll tomorrow and zoom back to where Ur current main is. And that’s not alt friendly. Because if you have 4 characters at the exact same progression level they are no longer a alt lol.
The fact I have a RL full time job a girlfriend and 4 max level characters basically proves the games alt friendly.
Doing 2 maw quests a day, torghast at some point over the week and doing 3 m+ keys on each char is little to no time investment .
Sure they aren’t the same ilevel as my main. But they don’t need to be their Alts.
A mmorpg should never be on a level where u can have 12 max geared characters easily. I’m sorry but it shouldn’t 🤷🤷🤦

Id say rained down with second best loot if you did the content for it, wich for my dh alt who i mainly played for fun in arena was weapons from hc raid and most other stuff m+ drops and weekly chest items (465 and 475)
If you wanted bis gear for both pvp and pve you had to do mythic raid, or get extremely with a piece or to with weekly chest.
SL is taking this to another extreme, where people, if unlucky, get nothing in reward for alot of effort put in in challenging content.
People will not be happy about that.
If you want a yolo-alt to do not to serious content with, for sure, you can call sl alt-friendly. But if you want a competitive alt that can jump in for your main in hc/mythic progression, push m+, push arenarating etc. with its alt-unfriendly.
Main reason for it is the loot-system and the rng on steroids it depends on. People who play alot and get unlucky, will not exactly be motivated to repeat the process on char number 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. Opposed to bfa, where you knew you would get -something- when you invested time.
