Alt tab wow freez Windows 11

two months ago there was a windows 11 update from there to today, when I alt tab the game freezes for a few seconds… the problem persists microsoft still hasn’t solved it and blizzard also doesn’t do anything…
anyone with the same problem as me? I saw other posts and it seems no one has found a solution… anyone with this problem?

Do you have G-Sync enabled by any chance?

I have the same issue and it goes away when I disable G-Sync :frowning:

This seems to be a Windows 24H2 problem, people are reporting the same in other games too. Including non-Blizzard ones.

I know I hope you fix it as soon as possible… this thing is annoying, I managed to mitigate the problem with some changes

The thing is, Blizzard is NOT responsible for this bug. Its a Windows bug, A 24H2 bug. That fix still has to come from Microsoft themselves.

same issue here, yesterday I did the incognitro secret mount, I was constantly alt-tabbing to follow guides etc, and this freezing issue got me on my nerves.

Same thing! I reinstalled the game and all addons, lowered the graphics settings and installed the latest Nvidia driver, and it didn’t help at all.
While waiting for the solo shuffle, I’m constantly tabbing and sometimes I can’t even accept the invite.

Disable g-sync. That’s the “fix” for now…

I disabled Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling on Win 11 24H2 26100.2605
and it helped.

Nah, doesn’t help. Still freezes on alt tab and reset driver/UI resolution if it takes too long.
Only disabling g-sync helps so far.

Has anyone tried if the new windows update (KB5050009) fixed it? Came out today…

Seems less blurry now when it occurs but I had that issue this morning again.

they didn’t fix it, go to next month…
there were the holidays in between they couldn’t fix many things apparently

other users still having this problem???
