Today the most unexpected thing happened in AV.
The usual turtle, the usual insults.
Somehow, 5 of us manage to get south to kill lieutenants.
We kill one, the one defending the tower.
And… I cap the tower !
I’m a bit new to AV, but all hell broke loose.
The dude leading our 5 man attempt to salvage a bit of honor left after he insulted me for capping the tower.
Alliance is crushed to the point that capping a tower in this condition is a noob move, and it seems that most alliance players knew it was a noob move : it gives the info to horde (that read the chat) that a few surviving alliance are doing something close to their base, and the horde indeed came to defend.
So Horde is way above alliance in gameplay.
Congratulation, you utterly defeated the alliance that we are paralyzed with terror in AV.
Impressive.
The map is balanced, and in vanilla, alliance won most of AV. This is not a troll.

Why they didn’t want you to capture a tower? Because of less Horde being North and that would take them more time to finish the game?
I honestly don’t know.
on both horde and alliance, only trash still queues for av.

horde keeps defending lts so when you cap a tower while there is turtle in dun baldar, hordes will recall and try everything to snipe the few who do the lts for extra honor in south. when you cap a tower there or graveyard they notice quickly and yea… there you go get your hordes and maybe no bonus honor.
but infact -> alliance could also go down with 30 not just 5 when the game is lost anyways so no need to take the blame here.

No, they went south to kill liutenants for some honor. Capping the tower shows Horde that some Allies are south, so Horde go and kill them before they can kill all the liutenants for the honor.
AV is a sad state of affairs with the way Alliance play. I played my first game since getting exalted last night. What I found was 6-7 Allies just dancing in each graveyard.
Such disgusting defeatist mentality; no wonder the better Alliance players don’t want them on their teams.

Why are you talking about AV if you are new to it? Your opinion by your own admittance is pointless.
usally, we burn first 2 towers or last 2 towers in my games, there is many AV games.
There is no need to be superior in gameplay when your GY resses 10 more ppl, is closer to the midfield and the enemy base has a backdoor that allows you to ignore an elite commander (while your own base has 2 of them).
on both horde and alliance, only trash still plays classic.*
