Anyone who was around in the TBC forums remember the meltdown before 2.3 because the Horde discovered the most efficient way to get the marks and the honor in AV was to AFK in the cave?
Blizzard unfortunately decided to implement the reinforcements rather than reverting to the original version.

The Irishman is a good 3 and a half hour watch - that’ll get you a long way - 210 mins - 8 mins per match with a 2 min queue - 21 completed BGs sorted
And people wondered why so many of us raised a stink about us getting the zerg rush version of AV and not the version where you actually had to play the game.
Ye its dumb. Anyone who played TBC / Wrath would tell you the optimal way was usually just a rush from either side. There was almost never any pvp going on unless for some reason one side whiped due to people defending. But there was no real reward for defending as afking and losing would give you more honor than trying to defend.
The only working version is one with many npcs that have high HP / strong stats to make rushing much more difficult.
When 80% of subs get cancelled after an angry letter to costumer support, and not a day before that.
Untill then we can enjoy what we get, like it or not, they don’t care.
I WISH IF BLIZZARD WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS IGNORANT TO PLAYERS BACK IN VANILLA AND TBC ALL OVER EVERY EXPANSION, THEN WOW COULD HAVE STAYED AWESOME ALL THESE YEARS AND NEVER WOULD HAVE TURNED INTO WHAT IS RETAIL NOW!

All those pay to win games, and DLCs and FFVII cut into a million pieces to make you pay 15x times for one game! Not to mention all the other Remakes with all the DLCs and stuff they sell online…
What happened to makeing one awesome game then unlocking extra levels or costumes and weapons etc by playing it again and again or playing on higher difficulty?
Nowdays every game is only about Cash Shops even Retail WoW and that is a Subscription based game! WTF??
Why are people so dumb to let this happen?

Actually I can forgive FF7 just because of the fact the game world takes such a long time to recreate in detailed 3D. They also have to make new content just to fill everything you never had access to in the actual game.
Sure they could just make the exact copy of the game, but might as well play the old version then
