Bruh, I play other games with people who are younger than my cat (who is 22)
I’m 58, and I actually didn’t even start playing computer games until I was around 35. Started playing Wow even later, in my forties. I feel that this kind of game works for any age, because there are so many different ways to play it. I’m kind of like you OP, being a social introvert. But I’m like that in-game too, so I’ve never raided or did that kind of stuff. I mostly keep to myself. But I never run out of fun things to do. Play if you want, and try new or different things in game perhaps?
Even if I don’t interact much with others, being in game around all the people, is nice and helps against isolation, because it’s still a social setting. Well that’s how it feels to me atleast.

I’m 31, I have way less time to play than before due to my many hobbies, but I still do it when I can. I like it, I don’t intend to feel ashamed because I do something I like

I feel you, i have too talk more in RL with people and have more interactions there so it feel better for ne not joining Discord and play in silence by myself

Hey, Just wanted to drop in and say No! you are not too old.
I turned 51 this year and i am still playing, doing Keys with a group of guildies and even some mythic raiding in the first 3 seasons of DF.
If you are no longer enjoying it then you should certainly look for something else but, if you feel the need to play again you can always come back.
Do what makes you happy, Age is irrelevant.
It does sometimes feel like everyone is younger than you but that doesnt mean you cant still play. I enjoy playing with older players because i dont have to deal with childish mentality that a lot of younger gamers have and also older people tend to “get” my crappy dad jokes and 80s trivia questions

I will be 39 later this year… don’t worry, I guess the average age in WoW nowadays is around 35.

Do you not realise the target audience and playerbase of World of Warcraft consist of middle aged men?
I am an older wow player i started in vanila aged 58 now here i am still playing and nearing the 20th aniversry of wow aged 78 but i am the same person inside that i was 20 years back and i will play wow till i snuff it i recon.

im turning 30 in 2 months, and im considered young here xD makes me feel good inside xD
I’m in my late twenties and I intend to be playing whatever I feel like playing as long as I’m able to. I’d recommend that approach to everyone.

Nah, Jdotb is like 40 and still one of the top resto druids around. Getting older means more experience too, even for WoW it can improve your gameplay.
