Hey folks, even though your character might appear dead on the character selection screen it might be revived, go check it out. This was the case when I was logging in. I got ressed, yay!

Weâve just fixed the condition that was causing this. You should be able to log into the character at some point over the next couple of hours, (after the cached condition expires), if that character was one of those that was flagged for restoration in the first place.

The initial wave wasnât on the 24th, it was 16 days ago during the race to world first on retail, over 950 characters died that day and then another group the next day. Does this not apply to them?

Did you guys pick up any DDoS attacks on the 25âth?
Asking cause I lost my 60 with 13 days played 2 hours after maintenance on the 25âth due to server instability/DDoS?
Even if it wasnât a direct DDoS attack there has to be a correlation, I also had guildies experience server issues the same time as I and also several hours after.

@Kaivax So who do we contact if we donât get a resurrection if we canât contact customer support? This char was on Soulseeker HC and died due to DDOS disconnect on Monday 24 March then I transferred it to Thunderstrike normal (thinking I wouldnât get resurrected) , where I still am now!

Who do i contact for my character that died in 24th and i transfer to PVE realm tried to contact Customer support for multiple times and reported bug but nothing happened yetâŚ
I really hope someone can help me in that matter otherwise i am not going again i have played hardcore for long time before new realms and i have multiple deaths and level 60s.
but this death made me frustrated and leading me to quit the game unfortunately, but after watching your post i have hope to play again and die honorably.

I could not agree more. 
I leveled my first Hardcore and âironmanâ toons (IIRC the latter was never using magical items) toon in OG Wrath. There was no âsystemâ or community, and the only person you were cheating if you rezzed in the former or used magic items in the latter was yourself.
And it was fun enough to level 2 or 3 toons this way.
Then, some 15 years later Community HC on classic with the addon became a thing. Was also fun and challenging. Shortly after, Blizzard themselves got on the bandwagon and created dedicated realms with essentially the same ruleset. And it was still fun
But from day 1 of official HC, there has been nothing but whining about people wanting their chars restored, be it do to asspullig, or DCing, or their cat walking across the keyboard, or their mouse suddenly being out of batteries, or, or, orâŚ
Then the whole OnlyFangs thing started, and people stopped whining about their own characters beind dead, now it was âmy favorite streamer´s toon died, rez himâ.
Then the DDos Incident happened, and the fanboys were more up in arms about it than teh streamers themselves were, to the point of some special examples posting multiple paragraphs in multiple thread of pure nerdrage and flaming.
Long story short, I wasn´t even online in HC during the incident, so I know I´m safe. But I also no longer have any interest in it whatsoever.
To me, OnlyClowns and their petulant fanboys already semi-killed the mode before the incident, at the latest when I saw Xaryu went and tested the alt+f4 + char unstuck hack to avoid dying to falldamage in a YT short (in his defense, He was only testing it on a non HC char to see if it actually worked⌠but he IMO shouldn´t have tested it at all, because if if did work, it would be obvious cheating), and Blizzard has now just twisted the knife by caving in to their whining. Now I don´t even want to log in to my âlets try to kill each other while questingâ chars that I played with my retail guildies for the last month anymore, nor do they.
I understand the logic of âdon´t let the DDoS attackers winâ⌠But on the flipside the spirit of HC is now truly dead, and with it any desire to continue playing the mode in any capacity. I`d rather, and might but probably won´t, go back to retail Ironman leveling. It was fun while it lasted, but the thrill is gone

If the old IronMan (yes no magical items and a few more restrictions) leaderboard still was working, youâd find my dead challengers all over it. From early 2012 (Cata) we had a community, in the beginning only with some kind of spreadsheet; then Stone and a couple more made a leaderboard, where you could register. Still it was as you say, mostly honour-based. I loved it, and I levelled in excess of 50 toons that way 
I was still part of the - dwindling - IronMan Community in Classic when the HC addon arrived. In the beginnig we were welcomed aboard, but as we did not use green, blue ⌠etc. items, and also not ran dungeons, and - I think worst - did not fawn for their leaders or ask for appeals, we were marginalised, and I left. To return when the HC servers dropped.
I was not much active in the forums, and I do not follow streamers - when I have the time I prefer playing myself to watching others play 
so the whining mostly went over my head. But it was not as fun as in the IronMan days, not least because it soon became a race to 60, boosting, fights and scrabbles over drops ⌠If I had just 1 ⏠for each time I saw people announcing in chat that Perelli just left Goldshire, I would be rich today The spirit and camaraderie of old had left. But I still had friends and even family levelling an playing with.
And finally I made it to 60. Recetly I was, slowly and carefully, levelling an old style IronMan Challenger â donât let anybody tell you itâs not tough. The first 20 or so levels are OK, but after this the divide between the quests, NPCs oan so on and your expected strength - with greens/blues and talent points - grows steadily larger.
I think - in the period my sub is still running - Iâm going to level an old-style IronMan on one of the Era servers. Soul of Iron buff is still in there as far as I remember. Retail is not for me, but good luck there, the IMC community is still exsisting, so you could join their ranks 
Sorry for the rant - I am rather emotional, as I feel bereft of something good and pretty.

Absolutely, that`s why I dont plan on leaving mine any time soon
