Of course they arenāt.
An example: People think that WoW and FFXIV have comparable amounts of subs despite WoW having ten times the online presence in media and content creation as FF. The wow content creation sphere alone eclipses itās peers by a literal factor of ten.
If you combined youtube/twitch viewership alone of ESO, FFXIV, BDO, and GW2 it only really equals out to about half of that WoW sees. Even mid-size channels like Bellular has almost three times the subs as any of the largest FFXIV content creators.
If you are sitting here and thinking that none of this matters, I implore you too look at how important youtube and twitch have become to almost every major modern marketing strategy in gaming. Itās a big deal, and itās a very good barometer for the health of a game.

Trump losing the election and blizzard banning multiboxing. There is still hope for both worlds, 2020 hasnt been all bad after all.

Iām honestly surprised it took them so long to finally ban it. Youād think after all this time they would be happy to have people paying for 5+ subscriptions each month.
Then again, perhaps they are using it to farm gold and get free subscriptions, so their worth has finally run out.
Canāt say I ran into them much, saw a shaman and boomkin here and there in AV doing multiboxing, which was more an entertaining sight than anything.

If you read the actual policy change and well as Blizzardās stance on multiboxing, heās right. You CAN multibox, multiboxing wasnāt banned.
The software that duplicated your inputs across other WoW clients was banned. You can still multibox without the software, though it is a lot more difficult and most wont even bother trying.
Trump hasnāt lost yet and multiboxing isnāt banned. And for most of us Europeans, a Biden presidency will be much worse than twitter addict Trump.
We all know how much the USās democrat party loves starting wars in the middle east. When Bidenās party (likely without him even knowing, the poor guy doesnāt even know where he is!) start another middle-eastern war, the idiots that run my country will immediately follow suit.

It will be. Just you wait and see. Blizzard didnāt make the change for a joke. Multiboxers and the people that develop their software are scrambling for workarounds. As soon as they find one, and they will (some probably have already), and it becomes well known Blizzard will ban multiboxing altogether.
This is what multiboxers donāt realiseā¦ if they find a way to perform like they used to, that method will also be banned and the next and the next until eventually multiboxing is banned altogether.

The reason Blizzard banned the multiboxing software is because it was also commonly used by botters.
Blizzardās updated stance. Multiboxing isnāt banned. If it was multiboxers that Blizzard had a problem with, they would have outright banned ALL forms of multiboxing instead of just the software; but they didnāt.
Itās cute that you hate multiboxers, but Blizzard really donāt care.
Blizzard seems to be really scared about WoW losing so many subs so quickly from BfA. They really are listening to the complaints and even delayed SL when they were told to.
