Anduin and the Alliance

So, Anduin is evil now, huh?

A part of me is very disappointed about this. I feared that this might happen There are plenty of games out there that make the good guys cool. Games that make the good guys get stuff done instead of contantly getting bullied at, sitting in chains and being used as a disposable tool in the end. Unfortunately, WoW is not one of these games it seems. Hopefully Anduin will break free at some point.

On the other hand I am aware that a lot of players wanted the Alliance to be the source of the next inevitable faction conflict for once. I have to admit that the current state of Anduin does offer opportunities for that. If an evil character is needed to drive forward your vision of WoW, then don’t forget to point him at the right targets, dear devs and lore writers.

The first thing that evil Anduin has done was killing the leader of the Kyrians. And the Kyrians are basically the Shadowland version of humans. Umm, what will be next? Stormwind? Those are exactly the wrong targets. Don’t you even think about making him evil towards the Alliance like the others before him!

The former evil figures in WoW that were tied to the primary factions were not only evil towards some NPC’s, they started out with being evil against the Alliance in the first place. In this context, what would be the right target to point the evil Anduin - the king of the Alliance - at? Just remember where the evil Horde leaders were pointed at. How about detonating a Mana Bomb in Orgrimmar? Evil Anduin could also burn down Silvermoon. Or he could terraform Azshara into an Alliance lion that is clearly visible every time a player looks at the map. He could also just erase a part of the Horde territory from the map as it happened with Teldrassil. Crazy you say? Oh, somehow the devs and writers considered it fine when the Alliance players had to suffer from stuff like this. At least this would settle some long overdue bills…

If - sadly - I have to live with an evil Alliance king for now, then please make him achieve something big for the Alliance in the process and do not make him pull the Alliance into dirt!

He isn’t evil he is being controlled by the Jailer and the armour has runes that prevent him from controlling his own body.

They aren’t the slightest bit interested in Azeroth, they have more important ideals involving the Shadowlands.

We are SO close to get Turalyon as High King. I hope we don’t have purify him and just kill him in a raid. Or let him become a Lich King just keep him away from the alliance.

I hope he and other hoomans will perish.

Anduin has become the Jailer’s Avatar… he himself didn’t become evil.

Mind controlled. A puppet. We don’t know how it will continue. Hopefully he breaks free soon.

For now at least, but yes.

Hopefully anduin is going to be a raidboss so we can delete him and forget about this disappointment of a king.

Tyrande for the queen please. Or Turalion/Alleria

it took arthas an one helluva epic story arc from WC3 campaign to become evil
lets say Anduin lost himself to Sylvanas the epic plot powers lady © in the very boring way - bonk and you serve us now kek

now imagine WC3 story with these poor writers?

The way blizzard wrote the story you can clearly see he let this happen and has a plan with sylvanas…

They will both end up goodies by the end of the exp… although i think she will remain in the sl in the jailers place or something

Emmm yes really

I would prefer if this thread stayed about Anduin.

If you’re trying to tell “look, they are similar in a way” or something like that, I’m not buying it at all. They are completely different. One is being mind controlled the other willingly commits acts of terrorism in order to break or take over Shadowlands.

And Arthas will rise up to come help us set him straight again… :smirk:
