Hello everybody, i wanted to ask. while questing in shadowlands we see a cutscene that jailer imprisons anduin while you escape through a portal. I visited stormwind and i can see anduin inside the sw keep with graymane and maiev. I think anduin should be in a cage or something, not in stormwind
Itâs a dreadlord. Duh.
you havenât advanced the story enough to see Turalyon sitting there you nub
You probably took the Night Warrior questline which phases Stormwind Keep to its mid-BFA state.
Oh you just reminded me to go back to Stormwind to see the Golden boy on the throne, totally forgot he was there lol⌠BTW is this the first time ever that someone from Lordaeron is ruling over Stormwind?
Wasnât Bolvar from Lordaeron? He ruled Stormwind as a regent for a while.
Bolvar was from Lordaeron, and he technically ruled for something around a year in lore, with Onyxia really calling the shots.
Turalyon is neither king nor regent, though, âjustâ the commander of the Alliance troops, essentially like Lothar. They did place him on the throne, though, so I guess weâll have to see what limits his position has, if any.
Hmm I was checking Bolvarâs wiki yesterday and couldnât find if he was from Lordaeron or not just said he was a regent
Then you werenât checking the same wiki as I, I guess.
Wowpedia lists him as former regent, sourcing it with Chronicles 3.
But youâre right, we donât exacly know that he is from Lordaeron. We only know for sure that he and his daughter lived there at the time of the Scourge invasion.
I really want Turalyon to stirr up something while heâs capable and while Anduin is missing, some kinda conflict or something, and seeing heâs from Lordaeron he might, hopefully
hahahaha baklcaa your from the alliance your faction donât get to start anything you exist only to react to the horde
Nah man itâs time for Alliance to start something against the Horde, and thereâs a good possibility he might wanna get more war involved unlike Anduin whoâs a wimp (and we had Ilgynoth whispers confirming it) , Turalyon isnât afraid I feel like, and I actually think he might wanna try getting Lordaeron back, since heâs from there and all that, but the question is if the blight will still be there
They did clearly establish Turalyon as an aims before means guy, wtihout many scruples. Since he also seems to be quite loyal, thatâs a bit of a wasted trait, if he doesnât get to command. So yeah, it would make sense to use his harshness in some way before Anduin gets back. Or after it is clear that Anduin doesnât get back, considering Anduinâs return isnât certain.
Apart from that Lordaeron isnât just an area of interest for Turalyon. It is the home of Calia, Alexandros, Uther, Arthas and KelâThuzad, all of which are being reused right now.
It is the most likely place for a continuation of the Forsaken story, that has been hanging in the air.
And it has been heavily teased to be the center of a new scarlet conspiracy considering a new heir of Lordaeron. And those pamphlets havenât just appeared ingame, they have been explicitly mentioned in the Exploring Azeroth book. So it really isnât some throwaway project.
So yeah, sooner or later stuff will go down in Lordaeron. It might not be this addon, but it well could be. And Turalyon is sure to command the Alliance troops there.
Yep yep all those characters you mentioned are being re-used now again, (just waiting for Arthas to show up) and that story from those fanatics that they have an heir to the Lordaeron throne seemed so crazy to me when I heard it from Bellular video at first⌠But I think I read somewhere that Calia had a child at some point, but not sure what happened to it⌠Damn just imagine a new Menethil shows up and is like âYeah I deserve to rule the whole human kingdomâ
She did. With a commoner. She lost it in Southshore during the Scourge invasion, and doesnât know what happened to it. A daughter, though, while the Scarlets claim they have her son.
Wow ok, is it somewhat possible that Arthas had a child at some point we donât know about
nope because he only got with jaina and he got cold feet before it got serious like the loser he is
I know you have a wonderful discussion about how Turalyon (the person who told Anduin to not blindly follow Light) is a zealot who is likely going to start some actions against the forsaken (after accepting that they are not inherently evil and approving the Gathering), but just a minor note:
The same exact book, Before the Storm, that tells about undead invading Southshore, also says that Calia knew no difference between the scourge and the forsaken until she met Alonsus Faol way later. So there is no data on when it happened.

The Forsaken were created in the year 20 or so. The destruction of Southshore by the Forsaken was what? 26? 27? No, I donât take the possibility that Calia was referring to that seriously, if she didnât know who the Forsaken were after years of having them on their doorstep.
The Scourge attacked South Shore during the original Scourge invasion, Calia lost her family and fled, and found Faol some time later, probably not half a decade later, when not knowing about the fledgling Forsaken still makes a bit of sense.
Well that is the problem. I checked whatever sources I could find. There does not exist, not in BtS, not in Classic quests / in-game books, not in wowpedia Southshore article, anything of the kind.
While it is possible that the devs will retroactively add such event, currently there are no traces exist of a massive invastion into Southshore in the time between the beginning of the 3rd war and Classic. The only depiction [of the town at that time] I know of claims
During the Third War, Southshore was a lively place.
Itâs possible that I missed another source of info about Southshore though. Or that the devs will retro fit one. Or Calia might turn out to be so stupid, that she thought that she lived in Southshore but it was another place altogether.
If nothing like that happens, than (at least based on the info existing now) whatever happened to Caliaâs family, happened because of the forsaken.
edit:
Summary from wowpedia:
At some point, while escaping from mindless undead, Calia stumbled upon one who was still sane and who she recognized. Alonsus Faol, who was a Forsaken, showed her that not all undead had lost their minds and there were some who still were themselves even after death.
So, âat some pointâ she learned that there is the difference, but it was when she already was studying as a priest.
