On the point of spending 10,000 anima on an upgrade feeling bad/wrong. A lot of this is to do with it not being account wide. I would be ok on a even higher cost for it if I know that once I do an upgrade on,say Kyrian, then any other future Kyrian character of mine would have it enabled (a bit like a Thorghast upgrade).
Other than that, if we assume Legion has been the OK quality for world quests (as in not amazing, not terrible), then this has steadily decreased across BFA and further now in SL. Im judging this on their time investment related to rewards. With flight points in super odd locations and without a SL flying whistle, I would rather wait at least until flying is added before I do any for the cosmetics/achievements or to even see what these zones have to offer. I actually believe that Im not the only one with such intentions (out of the remaining player base, that is).
Anyway, the main topic of the thread is good news overall. Credit where its due. My negativism comes from the disappointment that this observation on the anima rewards was apparent to players since launch and these tweaks are like having another corruptions vendor type of situation where the quality of life improvement arrives as too little too late.

Where? In WQ? naaaaa!
Like this one?
- Take a Core
- Kill lots of mobs to charge the core.
- Activate Goliath
- Blast enemies using Goliath
- Kill WQ boss.
Or this?
- Kill mobs to get an item
- Combine 3 items to create a core
- Use the core to purify a well
- Do the same for 3 wells
- Speak to an angel
- Fly with the angel
- Collect 6 scrolls from a huge library
Reward: 68 anima… Jeez thanks.
I’ve deliberately skipped the command table up until now because I didn’t think “25% increased Health Regen for followers” was worth 5k anima.
I just started to do the upgrade now, which will put me in Tier 2 of the meta achievement.
Gonna zoom in on this bit cause it feels like an important part of the post
If thats the crowd you wanted too reach, the ones who are not convinced that it’s worth the effort to get that amount of anima (I have stopped going after anima since renown 40 and getting my revendreth 2h sword) as well as to spend it on the upgrades then I’m pretty sure this change will not convince them.
This is nice for those people who already farm anima through World quests I guess, but this neither giving me the feeling that anima WQ’s are worth my time nor that my covenant upgrades are worth the cost, because the cost is not the only factor in me judging the covenant upgrades and the other issues such as; no interesting rewards for doing it, are still present.

Make buildings and the achievements account wide please

This, so much this. At least for characters in the same covenant!
I’m not going to invest any anima in the same building twice on different characters if I only want a skin of a certain color from one of the buildings. >.>

Would be a huge temptation to make a few alts I must admit
But like this?
Nice to have but… too little too late
Smells like desperation Blizzard but we are going to need more than that to jolt life back into the game.
Make the sanctum unlocks at a minimum covenant wide, better still account wide. If you did I am pretty sure you would see in influx on people levelling alts to begin collecting the cosmetics, at the moment you have to grind for weeks just to get to that point…so we are not bothering (yes a few hardcore collectors are but most are not)

Clearly you’re STILL not listening to the feedback. This hamster wheel you’ve come up with does not solve any of the fundamental flaws. This game should have never been shipped because it wasn’t ready.

i have to say it did make me happy when i logged in and saw my main had 4 table missions each offering 140 anima. a nice buff.
i wish the achievements were account wide though

My favourite part is, and I quote;
“We don’t want players to feel as though spending 10,000 Anima on a feature upgrade is ever the wrong thing to do.”
Except now it is because on my main I beelined for r3 transport network and anime conductor, just got path of Ascension to r2 and left my mission board to rot at r1 because the upgrade effects are garbage. So I did do the wrong thing and should be like, 2/3/2/2 instead of 3/3/1/2.
This is exactly the one thing they said they did not want to happen and then made it happen.
Sigh. I didn’t want to upgrade mission table at all but now I have to so I can get the achievements

So I can earn slightly more anima by wasting a lot of anima on the Covenant upgrades that suck?
If you want me to upgrade the Queens Conservatory then make it give more than 5 leather every 12 hours if I plant all the seeds.
Is it at least account wide?

Pretty much in a nutshell… but lets

35 more anima? Try 350 more.
35 is too little to be worth doing it.
It’s s*itty game design, no matter how you try to patch it.

Given that there is an estimate of 400k unsubs in the last month, this is key. Cater for the majority not the minority. You want them to come back make it account wide.
Will increased anima rewards even payoff the cost of all those upgrades ?
Doesn’t look it will ,considering we are six months into expansion cycle.

It could have done earlier, but thank you!
What is the source of this estimate?
