Anniversary Realm - Mass Report Abuse & Blizzard’s Silence

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my recent experience on the Anniversary Realm because this is getting ridiculous. I spent the whole 1 day ONLY boosting people in Stockades, making some well-earned gold, and out of nowhere—BAM—chat banned for 7 days. No warning, no explanation, just an automatic punishment. And guess what? When I appealed, Blizzard didn’t even bother to respond or provide proof. It’s painfully obvious this is an automated system, and honestly, it’s complete BS.

There’s a clear pattern here. There’s a “boosting mafia aka gold sellers” that mass reports anyone who isn’t in their circle, abusing the system to eliminate competition. If you’re not part of their group, you’re getting flagged and banned. How is that fair? Why should I be punished just because I’m trying to play the game and make gold like everyone else?

And let’s talk about making gold outside of boosting. Mining? Impossible—there are literally millions of bots running around. Herbing? Same thing. It’s frustrating to see the game overrun with bots, while legitimate players get banned for actually playing the game.

Blizzard, you need to fix this. Either remove the automated report system or at least have real people reviewing these cases. If the Anniversary Realm is supposed to be a celebration, it sure doesn’t feel like one when honest players are getting screwed over while bots and abusers run wild.

Has anyone else been hit with this mass report abuse? Let’s make some noise because this is unacceptable.

Did you post your boost messages in LFG channel? Or only in the Service channel?

I personally report any Boost and other service in LFG channel, although I never see any effect - same people keep spamming there. Maybe until now?

it was one single day i boosted, i post world , and trade, bro there is same people spamming LFG channel everytime i report them and next days still…

Ban discussions aren’t allowed on the forums due desinformation being spread.

If it was fully automated, you would’ve also gotten an instanteous response. They cannot at the same time instanteously automated ban you and also not bother to respond. You therefore contradict yourself. All appeals and bans are checked over by human GM’s, but they do use templated responses to cut down waiting times by a lot.

Should you feel it is in err you would need to wait on or appeal again.

Good luck!

It is not boosting mafia. It is annoyed players. Annoyed by your spam. Because I’m 100% sure that you didn’t use proper channel for your advertisements.

There is a high chance it was the “boosting mafia”. They have a Discord server and post receipts of players undercutting them to massreport them with a quick @everyone in said discord.
They just say “X boost is now Xyz/5runs” and everyone who undercuts even by 5g gets posted with a name to just to abuse the report system and get rid of anyone who undercuts

Sorry, but this kind of “service” is not playing the game (as intended). And if any of the boosters advertises in /1 or /2 or whereelse but “service” I report him. I do dislike the spam in the channels of the “legitimate players”.

The actual issue is that irani boosters mass report ‘regular’ players t oget them banned or suspended. What’s next, they mass report you for undercutting on the ah?

Lmao gms are not checking over the automated bans. I got silenced for 7 days, couldnt inv anyone or whisper them. I still have no idea why I got banned, I mean I had a vague idea. But there’s quite a good chance that I got mass reported by a boosting mafia for undercutting which is what alot of other people are suspecting. Anyway the point is that if blizzard were actually checking over the bans they’d TELL YOU WHY you got banned otherwise theres a very high chance the person is just gonna ‘reoffend’ and its more work for blizzard… instead you get an email giving you a list of possible reasons that you could be banned for

The forum is not the appropriate place to appeal or discuss bans. If you have submited an appeal and it has been upheld, there’s nothing else we can do.
