I don’t think they will ever do positive affixes anytime soon, but if we scream loud enough we might get some kiss-curse affixes.
In other words do said thing and get a buff, the only problem is if they make a affix that is like thundering it would just be awful, they need to do affixes like prideful, tormenters of torghast or S4 SL where you could choose what type of buff you wanted.
This is why i hate they removed seasonal just because of thundering, as seasonal affixes has almost always been a kiss-curse, making the dungeons more unique and flavourfull.
And ontop of that giving you an actual reason to play that season as at the end it will no longer be there.
What they need to do is reward players for playing correctly, as an example is the bosses on Everbloom. You dont pop lust on witherbark on pull but instead save it for the transmission as he take 100% more damage, same goes for Yalnu where you focus the add down ASP to get the 100% dmg buff up again.
I think the biggest problem is that the punishment for doing something wrong is almost most of the time cause a wipe, afflicted and incorp punish you HEAVLY on just missing one of the casts. And it doesnt help that these mobs can spawn in a location that is rather hard to see, like behinde the whole party. And ontop of that only certain classes can deal with these affixes (point at you afflicted) where need to dispell something, and the fact not every class has a dispell makes so half of the wow pop become useless at the week its on.
I personally think these problems are at large as it ruins the game for the casual and the people who wants to push higher up to 20s. Its activily making the community more toxic towards non-meta classes and making your choice as a player punish you just for wanting to play what you want.

When someone has crushing depts in Tides i am going to try to heal the player out of their otherwise certain death, which is also not doable when afflicted went off i noticed from experience
Its not only your responsibility people live through depths. People can use selfheals, defensive cooldowns, help you dispelling the affix… in many different ways.
The only time it can get sketchy is when someone is targetted by crushing depths twice in a row and doesn’t have anything to help you deal with it.
But a lot of people just use their defensive cooldowns willy nilly as soon as they take any form of damage. And that is a problem. But its not your problem, its theirs.
In Legion, Affixes were a nice additional challenge (and we had some funny times with the bolstered snail in EoA). Now we have already enough mechanics in the dungeons, so Affixes are superfluous imho. In addition, the SL Affixes are very annoying (and NO challenge, only annoying!!), while the new affixes from DF distract you from the actual gameplay (and not every spec can dispell).
I play BDK, VDH and Guardian Druid. The friends I normally do keys with don’t really play hybrid classes, except one guy who has a paladin. The others play classes like Warrior, Rogue and Hunter. Normally I run 4-8 keys on each tank but this week I just ran 1-2 keys on DK and DH and then I just swapped to Druid for the rest to have an extra dispel.
And even when we had 2 dispels, we ran into trouble in multiple keys where 2x Afflicted would spawn at the worst possible time when you need dispels for other mechanics, or massive group damage is going out like Noxious Eruption in Everbloom.
Affixes that only can be dealt with by half the classes in the game has no place in M+, and I also find it strange that most of them are designed to impact healers the most, which I’d argue is already the most difficult role in M+.
It’s not great for pugs either where you have to reject people you’d normally invite, just because they lack a dispel.
On the other hand, this weeks affixes gave me a great excuse to finally dive into Baldur’s Gate 3
totally, true. just bad design and no willing to change. because people silently agree. game could be much better if proper people were in charge of it.
I really liked Prideful for example. It just had a problem with having so much health that it wasn’t worth it in very high keys. But otherwise it was great.
Its stuff like sanguine and bursting that just sucks
They they desperatly need to do is change these affixes to a point where its a simple thing to do deal with.
Instead of a dispell it could be a soak (if not soaked then aoe dmg)
That way range has more of a use and everyone could deal with it as the tank could just move ontop of the affix.
And if soaking isn’t something that will make it simpler just make it something you need to pick up, maybe even make so if you take it into the boss/pack you can reuse it and have it deal damage to that pack/boss. (I know another kiss-curse)
Also dont forget to do the adamantine forge in Act 1, it has some nice loot there!
They had to reduce the total amount of affixes, but I agree that they should’ve instead removed some others. Seasonal affixes have always been of higher quality than the normal ones.
