It’s been a while, I think even close to 6 months since we’ve had a serious banwave. I know blizz won’t give any estimate as to when they crack the hammer down but it can’t be long now can it?
It will not do anything positive towards dealing with the bots, they just start over and have another 6 months to do what they do.
This.
It doesn’t really matter how many bots Blizzard ban, because these botters can just make new accounts and continue what they were doing.
Unless Blizzard deals with the source, the ones that are contributing these bot softwares, I think bots here to stay for good. And I get the feeling that Blizzard wont do that, because doing that will require more money than just banning these bots and the record show that Blizzard just doesn’t care as long the money flows in.
(additionally now that I think about it, a single botter generates more money for Blizzard than a single real player does, so why would they cut off the bot source, hmm?)
They dont pay any taxes, they actually get a tax refund so should not be a money issue.
Precisely, not to mention there are several players using fly-hack as well (to teleport on lotus location). There is a player with 4 mages ( Gezzy, Mdew, Merilla and Meuu) using the teleport hack on Judgement to farm lotus. He has been reported countless time for many months, but he is still there. A friend of mine have sent them a video as well of him using the hack.
It is pointless to ban bots or hackers every 6 months. They earn so much in the meantime.
As bad as it may sound to some people, it’s just part of MMORPGs and has been for a long time. Especially older games like this one. The best thing you can do it just be used to it and still have fun.
GeZy flying hacking must be a new thing, I followed him once running to a BL spawn, clicked it just after him, his herb picking failed and I got it I got a simple KEK from.him and he continued running
Here you can see Gezzy (as mildew) using teleport hack. That’s how he covers 3 regions (silithus, eastern and winterspring) when he is online. If you notice all the teleports hackers are mages (now you know why he has 4 mages+): it is something related to the mage class.
Today he was not even using the other 28 accounts. He just stay log with 1 mage per region and he teleports when he needs. He is a bit smarter now cause he avoid to teleport too close to the lotus to avoid to get spotted by eagle eye.
This is reality and Blizz is waiting forever for another consistent banwave. Let’s hope for the best.
Video of Mildew (you can find many videos online of mages using the teleport hack to port close to lotus location):
He’s now also using a rogue to tp so it looks like he just got out of stealth. Problem is he’d be farming burning stepps with only that rogue (and a low hunter) but he’d always be with his rogue on the spot as soon as the spawn, consistently, which is something you would not expect a stealthed mobile scout rogue to be able to do. Burn the heretic cheater
He’s been going for months now aswel, everyone on judgement knows him and it’s pretty obvious back when he used all his accounts… /Who EPL and 30 chars online, 29 under level 50 with just 1 60 mage, that’s probably half judgements alliance players just on 1 BL farmer!
Doing a banwave every 3 months is unviable and Blizzard knows it. It takes a few days to get a character back up to 60, it costs a bot farm nothing to do this and in 3 months the damage is already done.
Back in Vanilla, bots were banned there and then, on the spot, if enough evidence was shown they were a bot. One of the perks of having a functional customer service department, which Blizzard no longer has.
Sack customer service staff. Let bots subscriptions continue to roll.

Went online in classic for a 30 min session to farm exp and find some herbs, and the first person i encountered was a bot. Thats not okay in any way. Paying for a service that is not working as it is advertised is dishonest and fradulent. A Ban wave every 3rd month is not acceptable. I played Final Fantasy XIV and there is a ban wave weekly, sometimes daily during hectic times, There is zero tolerance against the rules of the game, it is exactly why a subscription game is advertised to need subscription. Customer service needs to do what the sub is paying for. Botting is unaceptable. FFXIV is a 10 year old game and they can remove bots, So can Blizzard with wow. They just choose to not take action. If the Rules of the MMORPG are bent and uneven, And the Dungeon Master in effect does not act. Im Leaving. I dont play with cheaters. IRL or Online. F!"# this Weak stance on a major problem. Blizzard needs to get their act together.
they should make shadowlands a requirement to play classic.
Encountered 3 bots at the same time last night followed by one more a few min later.
3 hunters farming beasts just outside Gadgetzan, and then 5min later I encountered a rogue bot also farming beasts.
Encountering that many in so little time was a first for me, it really feels like i’m the sucker for playing the game the way it is intended when we got tons of bots doing whatever.
I mean, i’ve had friends that are fairly new to WoW asking where they can get a bot, since they thought that since there are so many of them it must be ok to use them…
It is disheartening to say the least.
