Had* no scaling. Not anymore in SoD. Now your pet scales with almost every stat you get, so pets are gonna be even stronger at 40 and 60. It makes sense to an extend, because you’re a pet class and your pet should be a big part of your damage, but this is way beyond what it should be. They said in couple of interviews that they wanna make melee hunter and lone wolf a thing, as well as 2H enha shammy, so they probably will add something more to make these viable. But yea, they should really re-look hunter pets, because if left how it is now and hunter pets are soloing every class it’s gonna be even worse at 60 with full bis geared hunter.

Wait until P2 when BM rune gets nurfed also haha Hunter will be only class with no powerful rune.

Here’s what I think - they will nerf pets a few more time in P2, because with full BM tree unlocked pets will be even more of a meme than they were in SoD so far.
It was also called Beast Mastery spec back in Vanilla, when pets did 20% of your damage, if that.
