- Retribution
- Herald of the Sun: Dawnlight damage reduced by 15%.
So… We are getting nerfed again. This is a real shame.
So… We are getting nerfed again. This is a real shame.
Blizzard are the actual trolls this expansion, who’d of thought.
-Shrug- time to swap mains for fourth time this season already, my GM will be thrilled…
At this rate how about removing paladins as a class from the game?? …This is ridiculous
Really? How bad this can get?
Our selfheal compared to war or hunter class is bad.
Our damage out of crusade is really bad.
If our divine shield is on CD we are dead.
What else is left?
We aren’t even getting picked to do content at all why nerf us… let us do damage we don’t get to do the content anyway since other classes are better at the aspects of the game than us.
ST: lackluster/joke
AOE: Functional but outperformed by other classes and specs so doesn’t matter.
Can we please start seeing buff with the nerfs so you at least try to keep us viable and inline with the rest? As it is now we moved up from D tier to C and now they push us back down again. What can’t we keep bugs that are buffs as the mages did?
The obvious solution here was to buff templar, but as usual Blizzard has to go with the “you aren’t a mage” approach.
On the positive side, Blizzard will find the game much easier to balance when there’s only one DPS class.
Wasent ret shown to be a fairly strong dps? Hence the nerf as it should be between at worst low mid tier to high mid tier at best. Its atleast what i think their aim is to set a ret dps has always been at, middle of the pack.
Ask for tools we still miss instead like
But keep on asking for pure dmg/healing% buffs that means nothing in the long run for the class. Or at best some rotational change like the Templar “bug” was.
Do that while we get at minimum 1 new hyper mobile class over the trillogy of the upcomming expansions with new tools and all the above from the get go.
100% support rotational changes
Our AoE I think has been for the most part “okay” but not massively strong. (but nerfing sun instead of buffing templar wasnt the answer) What is needed is a notable buff to our ST and the fact many of our fillers hit just as hard as our finishers is kinda crazy to me . At a minimum ability like Templar’s Verdict/Final Verdict need a notable flat damage increase.
FV = 175K
TS Part 1 = 133k
TS part 2 = 250k
Judgement = 117k
BoJ = 140k
I think Final Verdict should be hitting at least around the 200-250k mark (if not maybe a tad higher)
But yes, all those things mentioned as well would be lovely.
How many times over the years since Legion (As thats the main structure we still are worked around to this day) have we had a 10% buffs here and there to abilities like FV etc to tune our dmg? Id say atleast 30+ times.
Those tuning buffs are fleeting and unimportant in the long run.
Talents however adds to the class and some of them are freaking immortal to our detriment, looking at you Justicars Vengance!
I want new talents that adds to our class like the options i wrote above. A 10% buffs is nice, sure but is instantly forgotten about after being added and more often then not, asked to be given again in the next patch!
I agree, but at the same time, building up to 3 holy power and then unleashing it should “feel” like im hitting like a freight train. Not tickling the target.
It should feel more like
Hit, Hit, Hit BOOM!
Not
hit hit hit hit hit hit
Why Templar feels quite satisfying at the moment because at least the HoL hits like a truck (and with its CD, I almost feel like it should hit for even more personally)
I actually thought that the multiuse of hammer of light is supposed to be the solution to the single target problems. There was even a developer note in one of the beta patch notes that stated that they want to address the singletarget balance.
But nothing happened and with hammer of light being usable only once templar is clearly not the solution to the problem they wanted to address.
Yeah, that was fun. Especially with divine purpose procs. But I also get why that would be really hard to balance/tune
Yhea i understand that its weird that a generator ends up doing more dmg then a spender and as a herald of the sun i have 2 of them with HoW. My main dmg remains to be FV however and suprisingly im fine with this.
Imo this is better then back when over 50% of ALL my dmg was FV, sometimes even more. Making all other attacks kinda pointless and that felt far worse.
Yes that is true too. Fillers feeling like their only purpose was for HP was bad too. But I think a 10%-15% (or an increased crit chance) buff to FV would be all that is needed as a starting point I think. and then tune our ST damage accordingly along with your aforementioned QoL improvements
i was expecting hammer of light to be multi usable since march when i first saw the tooltips on wowhead beta talent calculator. So there was plenty of time to tune this.
Disclaimer Only PVE. If you want PVP opinions have them use their “doesn’t apply to PVP” tag for that when balancing. I have no personal opinions on PVP buff it, nerf it, ban it you do you.
I just think the Retribution Paladin design team to come up with a better procedure than “Do nothing til the end of time” as it clearly isn’t helping.
And most other times they just make thing worse when they deviate from that “plan”.
Buff our ST damage so at least people don’t need a auto decline addon set to look for this spec as we clearly isn’t a good choice compare to others.
Give us unique utility for raid and M+ or simple buff our damage to kingdom come so we at least look worth it on a numbers side of view.
Edit* Also i love the current rotation for the Spec i just think our numbers are unreasonably low or kept very low.
Keep em coming.
Only Melee with Ranged abilities in a season where Melee suffer hard from standing NEAR ACTUAL TARGETS.
Garbage ideas.
They are joking im not sure what they are trying to do to this specc but they are killing ret the two hero trees are shocking imo
Ret paladin will never be a cleave only specc we will not allow it!
I dont understand. When you look at the actual gameplay, ret seems to be in a better position in ST and AoE than ever (df s3 & s4 not included)
