I one-upped you.
Been playing since vanilla launch, I deleted all chars and had my old account banned (yep, really), made a new one totally fresh (this one) and started playing solely on Classic.
Good flipping riddance Retail.

Why would you ever delete your characters LOL? There is 0 reason to do so, even if you (at this time) don’t intend to ever play BFA or any new expansion… But I’m like 99% sure OP didn’t delete sh*t, just acting on the forums.

No, I didn’t. I care nothing for what retail is atm, but I’ve invested a lot in these chars, one from 2005 on. So no, I didn’t delete them - I just uninstalled retail.

Most of my chars are between 10 and 13 years old and been through a lot ingame. They won’t be deleted.

I can understand that, but do you never wish to identify with people from your own realm via forums? I miss that single username
No, but it is nothing more than symbolic. Your characters are never really deleted given you can restore them at any time.
That just gave me an idea. I remember restoring a few of my chars some time ago and one of their names was gone (someone else took it) and I had to rename it. Now that restoring is much easier and more fluent would it be possible to delete a char with name “xchar”, create a new char with the name “xchar”, restore the deleted one and to basically force a rename, because a “new” “xchar” already exists? If that is possible one could rename a character without payment right?

No. Lots of stuff on those characters that I can sell, so I could buy token, so I could get game time for Classic.

To be frank, there were a lot of warlocks and just one R14 paladin, so way easier for me to remember 
Anyway, have fun on Classic. Are you going to be pushing for R14 once again? :)))

Why would I delete them? I haven´t played them for years and I don´t have any plans on playing them in near future, but still I don´t see why I should delete them. I spent some time on them and who knows - maybe Blizzard learned their lesson and finally understood what players want and perhaps one day they will release an expansion that will actually be playable. Keeping them won´t hurt anyone so I will keep my toons.

I’m never going back to retail unless DRAMATIC changes happen and it would have to be an entire game overhaul.
I mean a total game rework but we will see at blizzcon 2019 hopefully.
If they do that rework then I imagine they will overhaul the progression system during leveling too… or maybe not because theyd still want people to buy char boosts.
He was also on Executus yes, he’s in my guild on Judgement along with a lot of Executus veterans.

My Gnomes may have become horribly mutated Changelings when they made the new models mandatory after all the talk about ‘a Choice Toggle’ anyway, they may have removed my characters Achievements when they made it all Accountwide nonsense, they may time and time again make their sweated-for Gear unuseable or pointless (this time around, turned out they added level requirement to Engineering gear, now all my 51’s are naked; the double Sharam’s on my 55 less than greens), they may even have in effect wiped my Characters’ Quests by not using the permanent Character Records for the Wardrobe but the Achievement Tracker, but I’ll never ever kill my Gnomes.
Besides, this way they’ll have to keep the data etc. and so at least won’t be rewarded for all their misdeeds in that way.
No. Not at all. I don’t see any reason for doing something this idiotic tbh.

Guess that’s why I need arcane intellect.
