I am running with an annual sub, that is due to renew in April. For now I am not cancelling it as there is a while to go. However, I am bored, I’ve played since vanilla only skipping cata for real life reasons. I will see how the next months go before I make a decision on cancelling.
TWW isn’t a terrible expansion but each expansion feels more focussed to the elite minority players.
I personally took a break i log in for delve and low m+ key on my alt just for a fun of playing it like maybe once or twice a week.
I do not invest anything at all into S1 of TWW when it comes to pushing.
It ended for me when i did my last 10 key.
i really tried to get into pushing but after one day of siting in the que with no actual progress i just gave up and start doing alts.
After some time even that is became boring so i’m just playing POE 2 or any Single player game i’m still not having completed.
Maybe siren isle will hold me for a while but i don’t think so cause even that content is basically reskined dragonflight forbidden reach.
IDK what I want to do tbh…m+ never appealed to me. I like to slowly collect or explore. I rare do grp dungeons or raids…
I might just not be a MMORPG person anymore but I do like mogs and to have an auction hall where i can buy/sell from other ppl… so /shrug
I feel you, its like they have taken the soul and fun out of m+ and wow in general. I had such high hopes for TWW a new hype inside of me and now its gone and im subbed for a long time and already paid for
I’d either take a nice long break until the WoW itch starts itching again, or go play WoW in a for you very different way. I don’t think there are many other flavours to recommend
It is fun to change pace, and change the way you play the game imho. But if you’re burned out, a break is usually better.
I bought the 12 month sub on two accounts last February. I am seeing nothing that makes me want to resub. Bli££ard has more greed in this expansion than any other I have seen. They have failed to listen to the forums, while pandering to streamers at the drop of a hat.
I haven’t stopped my sub. But I did take a break for the past month.
Basically i got really bored of this ping-ponging between 11/12… and when I finally got all the keys on 12, I have to do it all over again… the same dumb ping-pong with 12/13.
Except that there is literally a tiny tiny playerbase to do 13s. I have a massive friends list. And even with that huge list, only a small fraction of those have the time, want, and skill to play 13s and above.
So… its too much work…
I will give it one more try to see if I can get 3k rating this season. Because I like round numbers. I only need 2 13s more.
I had times when i didn’t play for months because i was warned out. but to tbh I’m only back because of online friends, i think without them i have no reason to be here.
I agree with most of it. And i seen something that is going to make it worse. Something about adding a limit to the amount of deaths you can have. At this point if they make m+ even harder i’ll probably quit M+ all together and start farming gold for boosts. This season does feel like its a full time job more then a fun and engaging game. And tbh the past 2 weeks i was playing a different game.
I have a yearly subscription which ends in March, and in retrospect I was overly optimistic when I bought it.
Last Wednesday I logged in and went to the Great Vault and opened it only to discover that it was empty. Oh yeah, because I hadn’t played the game that whole week. Then I logged out. Haven’t logged in this week either…
I do want to check out the new patch and the winter veil update, and if I can squeeze it all together on a Wednesday, then I can also get through the Trading Post stuff for the month.
But other than that…
I am not going to play Season 2. I’ll do like I did for Dragonflight and come back by the tail end of the expansion and then hopefully get on the hype train for Midnight.
Right now there are a lot of other games I enjoy playing a lot more than WoW, and there are some titles coming out in 2025 that are going to be huge. Civilization VII in particular, for me, is highly anticipated.
I do still enjoy lurking on the forums every once in a while though. Can’t quite shake that habit.
