Hello forums, i have been thinking anyone ever thought about permanantly requesting to delete their accounts?
In recent days and without going into too much details i have requested to blizzard to remove my personal information of 2 of the accounts that i played on they got accepted… This one i am typing on is the hardest to do since this is the one i achieved the most on and do not wanna let go of it just yet. But enough about me how about you people ever thinking of permantly quitting the blizzard games?
first time playing any blizzard game .started playing last month and they havent given me any reason to get my account deleted .
If its true you only play for a month then your basicly new to the games/blizzard app so enjoy your time on there😁
No, I got other games tied to my account… nevermind the thousands of euros spent on it as a collector.
Yes I deleted my account years ago when I stopped playing at MoP release
Had no effect on me, life first games way way second.
Some have it the other way around
these types are going no where, think how much cash these players will pump into games their entire life’s
Goodluck OP delete it for what ever reason your doing it and drop wow “like” it’s a hot
No need to really delete it. You can just log out and move on. I have friends who played since TBC and then left and have never returned. Most of the won’t come back and when asked if they ever will the response is always the same. They can’t remember their passwords or they removed the authenticator and they don’t have appetite to start over.
No and i would never perma delete any thing or any game ever
Seems dumb if i ever wanna return even if 2-5+ years later
Why would you want to delete your acc? If you don’t want to play, just stop?
To not fall into the temptation of ever playing again… I did it with Runescape worked like a charm
If you intend to stop using a service (which WoW is one), then simply uninstall and stop visiting any websites related to it. Deleting your account does not delete your data, it just soft-locks them and marks them as inaccessible to anyone outside specific people. All your personal and playing data is still available on servers and the developers, just permanently inaccessible to you.
I’ve lost an account before somehow (my email just stopped existing, was weird). But never deleted one.
Seems rather drastic when you can just unsub, uninstall then forget about it.
Don’t delete, you don’t pay anything for keeping your account. You can change your mind later and return to the game and check how your characters’ stats and/or levels have been been squished.
I think you misunderstand good sir, but when you ask that they delete your personal data they delete all your rights all your games, achievements and progress all your personal data, everything…
Permanently quitting, sure. But why would I delete my account?
I’d only do so if I thought I’d be too weakminded to actually quit. Which I do not think.
Never. This is the only thing that keeps me sane.
Why do you need to delete your accounts? Are you unable to just log off and not play again?
Absolutely not. If I ever stopped playing it would most likely be due to burnout, so I’d just take a break for weeks/months or maybe over a year, but ultimately I know I’d want to play it again in the future so at worst I’d just unsub for a while.
WoW is one of the greatest games I have ever played, upon reflection, so I’m fairly certain that I’ll always come back to it until my hands can’t go anymore.
Never delete a WoW account. It could have serious consequences, like shown here:
Buddy, that literally goes for anything… your hobby, a subscription/membership to whatever, an enthusiast, collectors of whatever, car insurance, travel and holidays, etc etc etc. if you add it all up.
If someone can afford it who are you to judge? If they enjoy it what’s it to you?
FYI this account has been around since Starcraft 26 years ago… I’ll have you know I’ve taken year long breaks from WoW numerous times since TBC.
I see no reason for it. I’ve taken long breaks, and if the itch starts itching, I’ll play as long as I enjoy myself. At the same time, I’m no longer attached to old characters like I used to be years back, in that sense a new account wouldn’t bother me too much. I just don’t see the point.
If you have good reasons for considering to fully delete the account, say if it’s affecting you irl with how much time you play and inability to play in moderation despite wanting to, I could see how it might be helpful. In that case the real issue might be something else tho.
