I’m pretty excited, ive got my 2k mythic score and my curved…got everything i want from 20th anniversary event and ive been bored. Mostly farming mounts/sets or gearing alts but i am looking forward to play classic. I played it when it first released but never hit 60, but i got my friend into wow a few years back and we played wotlk together inbetween seasons in DF. I personally hate the levelling in retail, it feels so rushed and apart from my main i am not that invested in my alts. Tried doing a earthen but i get bored after a few dungeons and questing sucks in retail. Anyone else going to be playing classic?

i think they should do it on a consistent basis. every year or something new fresh rotation on vanilla.
pretty easy ctrl c ctrl v content for them.

i think it´s kinda pointless, but i understand that some players want to see other players in the game as they level up compared to seeing no one until you maxed level.

Classic that is there right now is a graveyard, fully completed, no playerbase. Fresh gives people an opportunity to all play the game again from the start, so you have the prospect of playing with an actual population.
Try to do PvP on Era and it’s just queuing into the same T3/R14 players over and over, try to do AV and you will die of old age before you ever get into one, the servers are dead. Same reason a fresh start worked so well for Diablo 2, 20 years ago, when they started doing ladder seasons.
They honestly should just have a Server that would keep running through all the patchs over 6-12 months. Then at the end of those months, your character is transfered to the Classic Realms, and the server restarts fresh again.
Basically make it like Diablo seasons, but without a Seasonal gimmick.

I am pretty happy with the release of fresh classic servers, TWW is good, but I miss a place to just log on and level a few hours and enjoy myself. TWW leveling is so fast that this option was sorta lost. It was already on edge with the previous expansions, but with the 80 chars XP buff it just got even faster.

This is the issue though. People speedrun the content so if you dont keep up you find it hard to get group content. Then the game is dead again because of the speedrunning so I just dont know what the point of recycling this over and over.
I would love to play classic, but last time I got so far left behind there was not really any point continuing.

Nah. Been there, done that - Twice in fact.
I am glad that they are making them though, since there seems to be a lot of people wanting to do fresh starts.
I am considering to make a character on the fresh servers.
I want to try the old game again, and play up to Burning Crusade.
Whether I will actually do raids and what not? probably not.
I’ve got a guild on the retail RP realm and I don’t want to neglect that.

It depends on what you focus on, I don’t care for raids, plus I do not care for min-max. I just wanna have a chilled experience. This whole treadmill, it’s an illusion. Play the game how you want to play it, find a guild that fits your playstyle and enjoy yourself.
I’m going to play classic. But worst thing is I can’t force myself to even log into retail now, as I’m not going to play two games at once, so progressing in retail makes zero sense as I’ll abandon this account for the foreseeable future. So I have the whole week of doing nothingness. I wish they would announce it the day before it opened.
I dono how people can do the same classic thing for the 5th time now, It’s madness.
It’s done, I don’t want to do the leveling or the grind for gold, reputation, gear etc again.
Also why do people want to go back to “Classes are bad again” after playing SoD ?
