Again… I am not sure if you are trolling here. I am not talking about the mount i am talking about you being wrong about the raid changes. The mount was given in normal yes we all know that and the fact normal was changed to heroic is a mute point it was awarded in NORMAL MODE i said i agree with you on that.
Thats all i am talking about , thats the whole point of my post but somehow the DH which i have on ignore has tunred it into something completely different.
8000?! That’s a lot of tenders… almost nobody will have that.
But yes, I fundamentally agree. This mount should not be on the trading post. I’d rather they restored the difficulty of that fight and put the reward there.
If you are talking about FOMO, there is power FOMO and then there are cosmetics. The core issue in SL was that FOMO was power based, you missed out on a week of ‘grinding work’, well, you were a week behind on getting legendary/shards/renown unlocks… Being a week behind put you at a severe disadvantage. This is where the backlash came from back in the day.
The cosmetic FOMO has always been around, most don’t care about not getting them. As getting that FOMO and interacting with that structure feels like rewards for playing the game.
Those who get the cosmetics they worked for, felt rewarded. The items had value as they took that extra effort. It became a ‘medal’ if you will, proof of participation and achievement.
Now, that achievement and investment is being spat upon. Just to please the wider audience of ego-driven people who want it ‘because why should I not also have it?’
Long gone are the days of people looking on a FOMO cosmetic and thinking,
“Man, that is so cool, I hope I get a chance to get such an item myself one day.”
Now it is all, “I can’t get that?! This is so uncool, I am being denied something?! Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I pay money too! I AM SPECIAL TOO!”
Its been a while since they had a prestigious mount in the game. Technically gladiator ones still are i guess. They could add a mythic plus seasonal version for very high end players like at 3500io+ or top 0.5% whatever. Guaranteed mythic raid last boss mounts its just something guilds would sell, i suppose its easier to carry someone to mythic last boss than 0.5% m+.
Honestly that is so true (for me anyway) I don’t really look at other players and think omg that mog/mount is amazing (maybe the white priest pvp set from last season because it was so cool)
The last time i was really wowed by a mount was ashes of alar, the first time i saw it on my server at the time i was in awe but i cant really say i felt that since to be honest.
Not really but it would be way more expensive for m+. Mythic raids only need 19 other people to carry one guy.
Pushing high m+, especially for the title is a grind. It is way more of a statement of perseverance than skill.
As for the mount, don’t really care that much tbh. It is tied to AotC but not like this is a challenge to get. They already leave the mythic mounts after the raid is not CE for everyone to get, so don’t find it that bad for the AotC mounts to be in.
As someone said above, the only prestigious mounts left are the gladiator (and even those are boosted often times).
Nothing in the game should be time limited, everybody should have a chance to get it no matter when they started playing. There is nothing prestige or unique to have something because you’ve been there at that point of time, and others didn’t start their WoW jorney yet.
If folks don’t happy about the mount just being sold for tender, Bliz should introduce some other comparable-to-origin way of obtaining things. In case of AotC mount it could be TW events, or some tokens dropping in current raid of similar difficulty. For PvP mounts it could be achievable for PvP endevors of current season.
IF YOU MAKE EVERYTHING OBTAINABLE, PEOPLE WONT WANT TO PLAY, NOTHING WILL HOLD MEANING OR VALUE.
YOU WILL TRIVIALISE HARD WORK AND TALENT FOR CURRENCY FOR FREE.
this is a terrible idea. do not make un-obtainable items obtainable, if its tied to achievements.
cant wait to see the gladiator mounts or Elite sets on the trading post, and half the player base quitting WoW
or alternatively… logging in once a month getting tender coins and buying the " elite / CE stuff " on trading post. logging out
newsflash… if you make the “carrot on the stick” reachable ALL the time, people wont be incentivized to do the content for the reward knowing its on the vendor/ trading post Later on
since when was an achievement buying stuff on a vendor… you never achieved it.
…on second thought, do it, give me a reason to quit for good
