People have been talking about how layering would affect the economy since they announced it. This is no surprise people are going to take advantage of it. It’s not an abuse or an exploit.

Is Layering per realm or server wide?
from what i understand is that it works per zone, so barrens has layer x-y f.ex.
You guys wanted layering and this is what you get. I didn’t want it. Server economy is destroyed for months, but hey at least you got out of durotar, right?

Blizzard did not forbid layer jumping for any reason. So calling for bans is stupid. There was no set rules.
lets be real who actually cares? just play the game enjoy the experience and stop worrying about what other people are doing.

Nobody wanted layering… blizz told us it was the best cure for over population of realms. How wrong they were.

Blizzard let you freely switch layers, so why on earth would anyone be so dumb as to not take advantage of that when the single biggest factor to your success in vanilla is your ability to farm resources?
Come on people… Layering was always a dumb idea and now we see the consequences.

Good strategy they have, farm ton of gold now and never have to farm for a very very long time.

I remember a thread a few weeks back regarding the nefarious tactics of APES. Everybody was convinced that they would be irrelevant once playing on the supposedly far bigger classic servers. And of course, they would be nothing in comparison to guilds such as Method.
And here we are.
If they opted to remove layering in places such as Un’goro crater, APES will be able to dominate the crater around the clock.

This type of exploit is what we all have been complaining about for a while. Blizzard said it would be difficult or hard or something to do it. But once I heard that, I thought, man it’s not hard at all. All you need is someone that you know is on different layers.
Imo, layer exploiting for farming mats should not be allowed. Hell layer exploiting should not be allowed at all for anything, like (changing layers to respawn mobs to AoE grind them again instead of waiting for respawn).
But what can we do? This will exist as long layering exists…
