Appear offline

So much this! I play more than WoW and what youre suggesting is perfect - I have the same foibles in every game I play

Me too.

It’s confusing on why bnet doesn’t have this already? Instant messaging clients have had this feature for decades.

Perhaps its their subliminal way of telling us that we should be there all the time for all the reasons lol

it applys to everything but WoW afaik. but in wow its not possible since your character is there, and being invisible in game would require your character to literally be invisible, like how GMs used to be

I used to love when they’d just appear out of nowhere. It made playing almost magical! And they are/were such wonderful people! It almost made you wish for a glitch lol

I think the only time you get that kind of thing now is when there are beta tests they are taking part in.

Everyone’s time is important - the days of just popping up are long gone as I’m sure those guys have a million and one things to do that dont include popping into a raid randomly and fixing something magically. But when it happens you remember it and its quite a lovely thing

True that. We are grown up girls and she should be able to understand me, but instead she is acting like a 5yo saying that will remove me from the messenger group for tbc . Seriously, i was in the group just to chat and talk, i said maybe I will play but not something big and grindy end game…She was ok, but now is obsessed with tbc and i cant dedicate so much time for the game, i have a kid and i play only when she sleeps . She also has a kid, but somehow is always in tbc .
Sorry for the off, just needed a solution or something and i dont want to be rude

Include quick join also in the list apear offline list

I’ve said before I would love this, in fact I require this if I am ever to have friends in game. Like many people I am complex and have ‘issues’. Not being able to hide has twice caused me to leave the guild I was in and remove all friends (both were in my early time in the game -Legion. )

Some people need to be alone for whatever reason. I found myself changing sleep patterns to play (getting up at 2 in the morning so I could play before work etc.) an offline mode may have stopped that, the people I was avoiding did nothing wrong, I am the issue.

I have no social links in the game at all despite playing 60+ hours a week because I cannot choose when I want to be seen.

That one still strikes me as rather odd. If someone is in offline mode then having people joining in through the quick join tab won’t be at the top of their “want” list in that moment.

Only real solution is talking to her about it in a respectful way, especially if she keeps poking you when you’re in offline mode. I wouldn’t exactly call it rude to be upfront about it when it’s causing issues, not as long as the way you let her know about isn’t done in a rude tone or manner.

I se nobody is against the feature, a lot of people is for it.
If they could just implement it I would personally spend more time in wow instead of playing other games when I just wanted to chill.
