Please add bad luck protection to archaeology, I have no problem farming for hours (currently at 40 hours of actual digging) for bis items but with how short this prepatch is and how powerful these 85 epics are compared to other prebis weapons some people will have such a big advantage in terms of dps it might change what bosses people are able to kill the first couple of resets.
Archaeology is extremely boring and honestly badly designed and for people like me there is no end in sight, Am i just stuck digging for an item i might not even get before the actual expansion releases or what?
I’m not the guy to usually complain about unfairness in wow but some of these items are extremely good compared to the second item when it comes to prebis, For example zin’rohk is an 10% damage increase from the second best prebis.

Mr cow, even if you dig all expansion you may never get it
Thats how it works - it’s like playing the lottery each week
Now you have this information, you can decide if its worth your time and effort, do you have anything better ,or productive to spend your time on? or god forbid something fun to do?
If you have some spare time go for it - worth a try and never know
But people have pumped 14 hours a day into it and got nothing, do you want to go down that road?
Thats no life for a giant cow, you should be free and happy in the fields enjoying the sun, not digging through dirt.

Completely disagree.
You know games are designed to be enjoyed by people right? Which means that technically you should be able to do literally everything you want within a game’s boundaries and design.
Archaeology without bad luck protection is just 100% bad game design. You CAN’T expect people to pay money for something they might never have. That’s literally gambling, which is actually illegal and even against Blizz own ToS…
Archaeology MUST have bad luck protection, otherwise it’ll cause even more frustration and outbursts from people. But what do I know right? After 16 years of playing and seeing Blizzard’s customer service deteriorate further and further, choosing money over players.
And then focussing all attention on the least played version of the game…

Literaly the first boss in the first raid you will ever do in cata drops a better weapon. Don’t want to waste time on archeology, then don’t do it, there is not a single item that you realy need, just some nice to haves.
I’m not against a mercy system for archeology but I think it won’t be added anytime soon (if ever at all) so I wouldn’t hold my breath

Idk if never, but there’s people I know 1400 solves in who don’t have staff or sword yet.

Just give the BLP already, making a pre raid bis item harder to get than legendaries is beyond stupid.
currently 1444 total solves in with no sword, meanwhile people with 20 troll solves gets it handed. really bad design.
I really dont mind grinding, as long as there is progress doing it.

No one forced you to do those 1444 solves. It was your own addicted mind that thinks you need those epics when you really dont.

If you read my post, your reply makes no sense.
I dont mind the grind, but implementing a RNG based system is gambling esque - which is against their own rules.
I grind because i want the advantage of pre bis, nothing to do with addiction.

Your time is CLEARLY not valuable if you can spent it to dig up 1.4k thingys
