Since I have arrived in Ardenweald it has been a laggy experience. The chat is filled with complaints about lag.

it’s been pretty laggy for a couple of days, I’m afaraid everyone chose nightfae as a conven, and blizz has some load rebalancing to do.

The lag still rages on. Come on Blizz, fix it! I want to like Ardenweald, but this lag makes me hate it.
For now, I’m stopping on my main until Ardenweald is normal and off to an alt then, sigh 
How dare you to dump on Ardenweald, the best area in any MMO ever? May the spriggans put thorns in your boots and overripe berries in your socks!

Extra lag for it being the calling area or whatever the new emissary quests are called. So even ppl like me who don’t care about BoE farm flocked there like moths to a flame.
Regardless of whether it’s the calling, it’s got BoE farms that cause lag. They are not doing anything wrong.
Just pointing out that today was extra laggy because pretty much everyone had a reason to go there. On my realm there has been barely any lag previously, today it was almost unplayable and I was there way before peak hours.
Everyone was doing WQ there so the zone went into Red Alert mode and derped as hard as it’s possible 
I had worried it was my settings or addons causing lag, but dumping it all down and disabling addons did nothing.

same depending on my actual location i play on a ryzen 7 3750x
with rtx2060 (6gb) and 32 gb ram laptop
or a older desktop amd fx9590 8 core5ghz with 2 gtx980s (8gb each) ( i know sli is dead am bliz never took up support anyway ) with 32gb ram both on 300mb fibre internet i can drop from 100fps to 7fps in 1 step and back regardless of running with my addons or clean vanilla install only instances and Orbis seem to be ok as i presume they have their own blade server and not subject to sharding requirements for load balancing i have contacted support several times with technical reports ( i am a IT systems and network engineer ) but ofc they blame my internet hardware or addons ( never had a problem before ) its making the game unplayable at times when a mob spawns from nowhere and frozen to the spot while it chews on your hps
I’ve had server being slow in every zone, not just AW. It’s just too many people in the same zone. When Maldraxxus was slow for me, the maw was fine for example.
The “lag” you’re talking about, is most likely low ping, high fps, thus a server side issue. There’s no connection or client performance issue, just too many things for the server to keep up with.
